It is a wish list of course....we sure don't want to run out of things to do

I figure by putting up plenty to do people can pick and choose what they want to work on....if anything.

Oh and don't forget your the team leader!
I'll try to make sure we have everything we need to accomplish whatever is on that list.
Can you think of anything we need?

I can bring my little welder its Hobart 140 so we can have two welders going if needed. Let me know

I =knocked 4 things off the list today.

plugged the hole for the fuel line:

cut off the bumpstop brackets, we'll be building new ones for Timbrens:

welded on nuts inside the frame for skid plate mounting:

Sandblasted the inside of the frame and zinc coated prior to boxing it up.

Man i cant wait to someday strip my truck down to the frame and sandblast and paint everything. I think it sounds like sooo much fun. (My favorite thing is taking old stuff and replacing it with new stuff.... so...) lol.

Yeah it was perfect for being outside with a blasting hood and respirator on, just cool enough to keep from fogging up the hood.

I need to make a list of shop stuff to stock up on so we got everything we'll need.

It is a great feeling of satisfaction to accomplish things, but realize that if you haven't done something to this extent, it can lead to builders burnout. YOu've seen the project that gets torn apart and never finished....it happens alot, so don't underestimate the amount of time something like this can consume in your life. Oh and the money thing....just open up and say aahhhhh. Once you start replacing a few parts, you realize replacing a few more is a "might as well" kinda thing. That's what I call the snowball effect. It starts rolling downhill, and its hard to stop it sometimes.
Good luck with your ambitions....it sure makes ya feel good about your truck when you see the progress than you've made.

I'm really hoping to have everything done on the list (post 1451) up to the point of the build week, we'll see how that goes. I would also like to get the interior of the body (floor) prepped for the cage work.

If the engine is running I can bring my timing light and recurve the distributor, but it can only be a conservative base tune since it's not running and driving. That also could prevent a lot more important work from getting done for something we can do later too if I'm in the way. We'll see how it goes.

Well I basically just got it running and haven't messed with idle, timing, curve, vac advance, elec. choke....etc. Anything would be better than it is now, but its not a big priority item right now either.

This would prevent me from working too. I have never recurved a disty. I kind of know how to but have never actually done it.

But i already have that Might as Well attitude so I know what i would be getting into, if i didnt replace everything, I would at least take everything off, sandblast, prime paint, so at least it feels new haha. Those are items I can think of right now, and I know it will keep growing.
That list only includes stuff to get to the point of having the body and cage work done. Interior and body/paintwork will need to be done at some point, but that might be phase 2 next year or

Ill be twenty a month from tomorrow. I got all the time in the world my friend. (Hopefully haha). Im 20 Im single, I dont have a kid, nor do i plan on having one for a long time, I have a good job, going to college full time, as my Grandpa says, I got life by the balls haha.

He just turned 70 last month lol. I actually stayed at his house every wednesday during high school to hang out and work for him or whatever, we rarely got anything done though haha.
