Good point AJ, if it ain't broke don't fix it kinda thinking huh?

Well, that and I'd REALLY rather have a manual but my options for that are limited by a lot of factors including time, money, my skill, and the fact that I do have a decently performing "supposedly rebuilt in '08" TH700R4 and no manual trans.

Probably just cheaper and smarter to just put a deep pan on my 700R4 and fix a few minor issues, then call it good. Maybe a floor shifter like yours or my buddy's Scout.:pimp:

and you can actually work the trans, as opposed to daintily trying to find the detents on the high performance column shifter....

welcome back Dave.... oh wait, your leaving again.. :doah: have fun! take pics... :deal:

took some pics with my new phone...its just a simple one really, but I was trying to upload them this AM, when the storm rolled through, and lost power...so who knows when that will be back, some 600K plus out in the Chicago area, we got out of there in good time it looks like.

The drags were a blast as usual, met a new hottie driver while there, and I'll get some pics up when I get my power back.

Here's a sneak of the driver:

Mine is the ArtCarr/Winters unit...best price I found was at Wide Open Design:

Dave got pretty close to that:rolleyes: Not as close as he wanted but close none the less:D

right Rick, she's a living doll.
And married to a CORE racer I think.

Still running off a generator at my house, hopefully tomorrow I'll get some real electricity back. I can only run my fridge's and the water pump, or the blower fan on the furnace to circulate some air in the house. No shop power, no AC....wahhh, listen to me whine, while our service men and women live in extreme heat everyday, and get shot at too. I'll stop complaining bout it now.
Hit the body shop today too, they lost power yesterday also, but were told that the power co. was trying to get the business' back in service today. So he said maybe middle of next week I can get the body back.
I picked up my stripped parts today, and got them washed off (they spray a rust inhibitor mist on them after stripping) and got a coat of Zinc on em til I can work on them. Pics when I get my home comp. electricity back.

Yeah, thats her AJ...she looked great in that shoot, and I've been hunting her down ever since:whistle:

Dave you wanna buy my van to fulfill your creeper dreams:haha:

Then you can "hunt her down" in style:thumb:
real nice Adam...thats funny chit man.

I got my power back this AM, and am very thankful for that....casualties include my computer, a ceiling fan, and my alarm system. I must have gotten a power surge or two somewhere along the timeframe.

The alarm co. came and put a new transformer (?) in this afternoon.
The ceiling fan was down to one speed anyway, so not a big loss there, and my comp is 5 years old....I think I have an old box I can use til I find a deal on a new one.
So pics will be a few days away still, but got more parts cleaned and primed today. Got my new timbren bumps, need to make some brackets for them now.:waytogo:

Come on man!!
How long do we got to wait for the eye candy!:haha:

Sorry about the loss from the power surge Dave, hope you can get it all fixed up without draining the bank.

Did you have a surge protector:rolleyes:.. No really, most sure protectors will have a loss gaurentee that will cover stuff that was on one and gets fried.

I have a few cheap ones that seemed to have done their job, both TV's and the stereo seem to still work. I'm a little worried about the fridge/furnace/and other stuff though. Time will tell I guess. I have let my ins. co. know about it. They are getting used to talking with me lately. unfortunately I have a 1000$ deductible.

Max, I might have something hooked up by tomorrow....we'll see.

replace all them cheap ones on the other stuff. Once they take a hit they wont do it again. even if they still let power through, the surge arrestor inside is most likely toast.

OK Rick, sounds like you got some sperience with these, any recommendations that are a quick plug and play?

radio shack has some that are one outlet in one out that I trust on my amp. they would work good for like a bedroom TV. For the entertainment center with all my gear I run a big Monster Cable one from Best Buy ($80). I have a smaller Monster Cable one on my desk top too. They have an up to 100k guarantee on your equipment. In the case that it fails, you send in the unit and proof of what you had on it, and they send a check.

Last I saw Amazon.com had decent prices on those. Better than Best Buy (not that it's hard to beat their prices).

I always forget about the net when buying crap:doah: Exept speakers and truck parts, then its always the first place I look :screwy:

Hey dave, did you get that pic I sent ya at the race Ok. I can resend it if not. You could send it here with the phone right:whistle:

Alright, I'll try to get some located, I know storm season isn't over yet:whistle:

Rick I got the pic on my phone, and can't wait to see it full size on a monitor, but right now I can't upload to my comp. because of it getting zapped. My brother has a box we're trying to get working, but my limited knowledge of puter stuff, is hampering my attempts to get back on the Net @ home....

In another update, I tried shooting a few different colors (spray can for now) to try to decide on color(s). Gray with Black fading into it....not so good. Gray with a red oxide stripe....not so good. Gray and faded black with a hemi orange stripe....meh...so-so. And the last one I tried was a Iron Gray/ with a Hemi Orange stripe down the side, which co-incidentally comes pretty close to the color of the IRON MAIDEN script on the decals.
A 1/4 stripe seemed to look better than a wider stripe, but still enough to draw your eye to it.

with a narrow stripe of:

that should bring the rollcage in, and also the IronMaiden logo:
