Looks awsome man. Shouldnt have any trouble cooling stuff:D We didnt get out on the river, Its rained like 6 inches in the last 2 days here. The post somewhere before when you asked about the indy drags, I'll only be doing 1 day. Sunday or monday of labor day weekend. Any word on the maidens skin yet. Gettin ansy to see it.

Yeah as of last Thur. they had 1 quarter panel done????WTF guys come on I need that thing already. "Gonna bug em Monday am.

B&M instruction show not to mount the cooler with the fitting pointing down. Air can get trapped in them when mounted that way, reducing cooling. You can find info on their web site.

Teck, I appreciate your input, and I know this has been hashed out before, perhaps in Ryoken's thread about what position to put a cooler in, whether its a stacked plate design, or tube and fin design. But at the time the discussion was going on, I believe it was up in the air about whether putting the fittings down was detrimental to oil flow. If there was a problem with mounting a stacked plate cooler like that I doubt if GM would build millions of trucks with them mounted in that orientation.
I know B&M says to mount them sideways or fittings up, but Northern, and some others say orientation don't matter.

PSC was the site I linked about not putting coolers, fittings down... I don't know, I've run em that way in the past without issue, I know Scott runs his that way... it's probably a "them covering their butt" kinda thing.. it's a hydraulic system, it'll eventually, if not immediately, push the air to whatever vents the system... case vent, ps pump cap, etc I would think...

Just seems like GM putting their coolers in with ports down wouldn't be an issue....maybe I'll check the one on my truck with a temp gun to see how it acts.

Just found out the body shop is having employment issues, at least thats what they are telling me...thanks; after a month they tell me this, I would have thought they coulda let me know they couldn't get it done earlier. So I'll get it back with hardly anything done to it. Not that I could have gotten it done by myself, but I could have looked elsewhere. Assbags!:flipoff1:

My ford has a factory aux trans cooler (Im super stoked about it so I have less plumbing to deal with as the aux cooler is already in series with the trans cooler in the rad) That cooler is also mounted ports down also.

The Iron Maiden was a mid evil tortoure devise...I don`t think Dave want`s his rig tared and feathered.:D

Btw Adam you did a subpar job, the feathers came off your trucks.:haha:

Made up the pass side shock hoop, and got all the shock mounts fully welded now, and the bumps all welded and mounted up. A couple more things checked off the list....many to go!

Note to self, stay away from duelings chicken barn:haha:
Its not bad Eric, just watch out for the 10gal of oil in a drainpan, and a few other booby traps and its all good.

Nice Max..That bronc would look sweet with feathers Adam!

dave showed up their a few weeks ago to steal my old top. Needless to say I chased him away with a gallon of herculiner and some chicken heads....

Adam, I think that barn has a lot of possibilities for becoming a nice shop. Plenty of room in there, just need a lift.

Bumpstops look good Dave. You might want to brace the rear frame with another crossmember between the bumpstops now. Because with the bumpstops not directly under the frame it wil want to twist the frame outward on the bottom. Unless you already have something there because of the cage/shocks? Something top and bottom, not just the top.

I feel special right now lol.
No I havnt touched the BII in a long time, I really just gave up on it. Ill get around to it eventually:thumb:. If no takers on da 305 maybe ill drop that in their....:haha:

If I ever find a pic of what that barn looked like back in the day when my dad and my boss painted cars in it, ill be sure to load it up. It looked way cool about 20 years ago, before they made it into a chicken coupe, then a mushroom barn, then adam and friends place to roll bedliner on stupid fords... lol

Upper shock mounts and gas tank cross member in the rear, front engine cage should get it handled.

Hope you get you body back soon... I want to see it.

I'll be picking it up tomorrow AM....and I'll be pissed too. (see above)

looks like the Maiden will be going to Moab without a new skirt.

You should hand letter "Body and paint by Asstard collision repair" on the sides before you leave. :doah:
