yep factory gauge....

didn't get much done in the shop, but had to run a few items down....a nut for the rear yoke (ordered it, in tomorrow) and had to get insurance on it, then killed some time at the licensing office, and had to get a few screws to hold the dash cluster in place. The shifter cable will work I think, and I'm trying to find a pcv valve....need a 90* valve to put in a 3/8" line.

I know searching through threads is a lost cause sometimes, but maybe a pic of something here or there can help someone in the future...I've sure made use of others photos during my build, so hopefully I can return the favor to the brotherhood.
I got a couple shots today AJ, but haven't uploaded them yet, and now I'm at work so late tonight or tomorrow I'll get them on.

I had to order a friggen' 205 output yoke retainer nut....only an 8$ part, but NO-ONE has a 7/8-20 nut in town. Hopefully they will get it tomorrow. In the meantime, got the vac advance hooked up on the engine, got the PCV setup done, got the steering system partially bled out today....the wheel turns pretty good on jacks but not to smooth yet on the ground....more bleeding needed I assume.
I started on the brake system....need to make a line for the front, and get the rear hooked up, with a prop valve, and line run to the m/c....hopefully all will go smoothly there. Started working on the rear seat mounting, and will put in a better retainer for the battery box.
The shifter is hooked up, the front driveshaft is in, and the cupholders are getting put in tonight! (by my brother)

That is how the gauge cluster supposes to fit in the steel dash. It like they made it help hold the gauge cluster, heck for awhile, I just left the cluster in the dash without any screws and it didn't fall out.

Man, what a cluster! Seriously, it looks good. And I like the way you tucked the cage in behind it so everything still fit. You are getting so close Dave, I bet you are itching for a test drive! It's been a long time coming. You better have some video!

BTW, that's how my cluster fit too.

I think GM made them so that they purposely caused you to skin knuckles and hurt things in your attempt to gingerly pry it out and not have it break or crack despite the torque load they are apparently under.


Zim, where'd you get that bracket exactly? Custom made? Didn't see that on Kert's site the other day.
