Dave had a great time today. Great food too, and I must say the maiden rocks!!! I couldn't stop smilin lol. Can't wait for you to bring it up to the dunes next year and really let her loose, that things gonna rip up there!!!

Next time I come down though I need a wrench and something use it on... Lol.

He showed me how lame a small block is lol. I matted mine when i got home and was very bummed by how long those rpms take to go up compared to the 454 lol.

keep in mind Adam, I was in 2:1 at the time, not 1:1....you should see how fast it happens in 4:1...and front digs are cool as an icicle dripping down your neck!

True i guess when i put 4.10s in it should shoot up a bit quicker, no need for a doubler but yah the front digs are awesome, i had no idea what u were talking about when you said it first lol. I really wanna see how wicked that thing is on the sand on a nice big straight away up test hill.

You'll like it! I like to idle up the hill about halfway like it's going to get stuck, and just when it starts to slow down just above idle, I mash on it and accelerate up the hill, it's fun. More power, arh arh arh!


Remember Adam, gears and torque converter can make a huge difference in acceleration. But either way big blocks rule.

Dude!! Summit has I think a weiand (i think...) supercharger thats meant for mildly built small blocks with 9:1 compression and such for like under $2k, I want it soooo bad!!!

Then throw a FAST Efi on top of that...

But these are only dreams however. Someday maybe

But it is a nice running motor, nice and rumbly, and im sure with a fresh carb the performance would go up a bit more. Im really happy with it, its a perfect medium I think, which is what I want this whole truck to be, not perfect in any one category, but decent all around.

Well it still has to be able to use as a DD, hence 38.5" Swampers or such would most likely be a bad choice

Someday ill get some money and have a nice clean one, and jack one up for playin.

even 35" swampers suck for DD duty. I'm gonna try to trade mine for radials before winter. Wish I coulda made it there to ride in the maiden. but fixing things here took priority. Alls good and I'll be out there for a ride sometime. or just to wrench some more
