'78 K10 Build

Thanks. You cant see it in those pics but the fenders are pretty hacked up for clearance and the hood looks like it has been ran over. Not to mention that large chunk of bondo that fell out of the drivers door. Now it has a front clip from a 74 and good doors, hopefully Ill get to finish body work and paint it this summer.

Looks like you've got a slight exhaust leak:whistle:
If you plan on replacing with another set of headers look into getting some for an old camaro. They dont hang down near as low and you get much more clearance between the header and the driveshaft and shackles.

I would love a 2wd version of this truck for a DD... I like the build so far I'll be following it.

Got the header patched. I ended up going wheeling a little the next day and bored out the hole in the header about 4 times as big as it was :haha:. It doesn't look too pretty, but it works.

Im getting so impatient on waiting for my dirtbike to sell so I can spend some play money on this thing! Can't wait to lift it and get some 3/4 axles. So bare with me on these lame updates haha.

The axles are sitting here waiting for you. (Well the 14bff is, the Dana 44 is still under the front of a mostly stripped pickup, but it shouldn't take us long to get it out....)

Baker said he may sell me his 4:56 geared axles out of his K10. I think i'd rather have 4:56's if I can, but if he decides to keep them, i'll come get yours.

Yeah, if you can get Baker's axles, I'd say go for it. You are going to run white painted 16.5's with stock hub caps right?

Martin

Yeah I want to if I can find them. I think it might be tough to find a set of hub caps though.

I know they're 15's and GMC caps but they look soooo sweet. I actually like they grey wheels and the later style center caps better as well.

All the rigs lined up. Some of you might recognize some of them.

That grilleguard should mount on the bumper with the bolts that are on there now... If I'm not mistaken.
