If it was my land there would've been. I'm sure he will have a day when it snows where we all go out there and I'll make sure to get the OK to invite you guys out. :)

350 TBI engines are not nearly as gutless as people like to make them out to be.

Very true. From what I've read, in stock form they have more power than the earlier years (carbed motors). I think if I remember right, their heads flow a bit better than the stock carbed years. But I'm no expert on it.

Looks good though 78SWB :thumb:

Hmmm I'm doing something wrong then. I've had 4 and each one was gutless as the other

How do you set the timing? What was the fuel pressure? These 2 things make a huge difference.

The heads flow horrible. The worst sbc head ever.

Depends on how you look at it. Every TBI rig we have owned in our family puts out plenty our power for how we use them. If you care about horsepower, than yes I can see how you think the TBI's are dogs in stock form, or if you compare the heads to vortec's or some other aftermarket head that is designed to flow well, but in stock form.....and for a rock crawler, I will take the durablility/reliability of a TBI all day long, even if the head doesn't flow as much as others.

To each their own though

Could be too far. Every time they detonate they pull like 5 or 10 degrees so it could be less than what it is stock.

I suppose and when it bogs out it almost makes a knock sometimes

I was eating at a restaurant here and one of the decorations on the wall reminded me of y'all boys.

Thanks! I still can't get over how smooth and easy it drives now.

I wish I could drive it without having to jump start it everytime. Something is draining my battery down. You can sometimes hear a very faint buzzing noise coming from the alternator, then when you disconnect the power wire to the alt, it goes away.
