I’m building a Rock Hearse!
The trimming around the back is getting closer to done and I ordered some tailgate trunnions. I seem sesled the fender wells up and got some primer down on the outside. The inside I primed and used some Flex Seal on them.
In the summer I like to have no doors on but don’t like the looks of the big ole door hole. Here is the start of the summer “ doors” or what’s left of them. They will have a nice lip on them so stuff don’t go rolling out.

Cool doors, did you add any bracing to keep the body folding since the roof is off?
No, I think that the 79 body with the roof off is still stronger than the 73-75 body. Crash safety standards were a lot higher in 79 and the roof was designed for rollover accidents and as a consequence the floor was strengthened to support this. I will be putting in a complete cage as well tied into the rocksliders and back to the frame.
My full vert is a 90 and my biggest issue was the back quarters leaning out, just FYI.
After cutting the top off of my 91, with the doors open I could push/pull the windshield frame/firewall back and forth about 1.5”. Definitely tie the cage to the tub in front and behind the door openings.
Oh yeah I forgot about watching the windshield move everywhere crawling on rocks, that needs braced for sure.

Looks like he retained the main hinge section of door to me what I can tell.
The latch and hinges are there like a normal door. It only needs to be opened in the fall when I put on winter doors.
