I know another guy on here that fancies customization of hush boxes…
@Bent77 :D

I really thought I was the only one crazy enough to cut one apart
Ya saving crazy money those 50 series are over a 150$ each! I just want a single 3” in and out and a little quieter than a super 44. I had a 44 and a single race muffler sitting in the corner for years and the other day I’m like” hey I’ll cut those suckers up and weldr together”

I have a thread in the “other rides“ for a 1994 Camaro. It has a series 80 on it and I wanted 3 inch and 3 inch through 3 inch out so I cut it up

internally It’s a little different than series 50.

That was interesting and informative. All I did was add another delta to the outlet which was inside that small race one.

That was kinda why I wanted to do it

Fortunately I go exactly what I wanted: a touch louder, less back pressure, and no change in the quality of tone

The new series of muffler that I would have gotten for that would have been quieter. All the others are way louder

Build your own…

Interested in selling?
Yeah , went over to DYI4x and they are out of business , wow end of an era. Do you want the front and rear brackets? Message me a fair price you want to pay for them. They are new and have no miles on them except for pushing it around the shop lol.

When I started the measurement from the ground to the spring eye on the front sitting on 35” tires was 27”. It sits at 31” now and on 43” tires it will be 35”. The spring eye is forward 2.375” and the steering box is forward 4.125” now. I have room for a 19” tall 32” wide radiator no problem. No shackles yet, I turned 56 today and froggy isn’t one of the things I feel today.

Happy birthday, looking good. The truck, not you.
Aw shucks

Dana 44 back under it for now. Looks like I lowered it 3” in the front and with the Dana 60 I will gain an inch back easy. The rear looks higher than the front now and that’s just want I want for a completely unladen chassis for now. This sitting around 4” of lift now just right for 43” tires. The 2x4 shackle simulator is 6” center to center and I’m on target!
