I like it!! :saweet:
May I ask two questions?

What is the tube by the frame in the left rear wheel well?

And where's your heater? You live in Idaho with no heater?

The tube goes to my fuel door. And I have a Mojave heater in there. It works good.

Hit the hills. Edelbrock proflo is the ultimate champion. I f@#king melted the charge wire by the starter when I got stuck and started winching.

Didn't realize it til I was driving out on the road. The edelbrock efi ran all the way to 8 volts. Believe it or not. I was like 3 blocks from my house when it died. My buddy that was with me called his wife, she cruised to us and we charged the battery for 5 mins, popped right off and went home.

Found the melted wire at home. It may have been my 150amp alternator VS the stock 45 that caused this. Or the headers finally cooked it. I'll fix it and wrap it with heat tape.

That’s some yum melty

What’s interesting is the fact we’ve been told for decades that none of these ignition systems will support decent spark below 12v. But I did find on TBI that anything around 8v did not run good at all

I'm just here for the step side
this is gonna be good sit down GIF

Update time.

ORD tube doors. And a sweet metal cowl riveted to the factory hood. With holes cut for so much cold air intake action....I know it may not do shit. I wanted it tho.

I do have the edelbrock flow top whatever pro series racing off road super air filter. 20210417_123126.jpg20210417_133014.jpg20210419_154341.jpg20210419_154351.jpg20210419_154400.jpg20210419_154407.jpg20210419_171645.jpg20210419_171658.jpg20210419_171720.jpg20210419_171724.jpg

This is my 3rd Squarebody. The First two I painted both of them Desert Sand. That's why I have some leftover. Im leaning towards painting this one Oxide Red. I Don't like fancy paint jobs on my trucks. Bad things happen to shiny paint when I drive.

Very NICE! I have a 79 long bed. I’m planning the same color.

I moved back to Montana.

Installed 40x13.50r17 cooper's on battleborn beadlock wheels. I bought 5 so I have a real spare.

Need to plasma torch the front fender a little for clearance when cycled. No contact during normal driving.

Ordered all PSC steering components to replace my current hydro assist.

That thing looks sweet with 40s, I always wanted a stepside but now days the bed would be way to small for what I usually do.

Finally getting to work on this in-between jobs. Doing the best with what i have. Im not the fabrication master. I will be using 4 point belts. Ill post up more pics later. Lots more work still. Very happy to get to thus thing though. My edelbrock pro flo runs great also.20220423_130959.jpg20220425_160004.jpg20220426_125807.jpg20220426_172208.jpg20220428_112557.jpg20220428_175504.jpg20220428_175547.jpg20220428_175605.jpg20220423_130959.jpg
