Yeah I thought crossover was supposed to eliminate bumpsteer .
More like band aid. Those issues are still thereThat's weird. My hydro-assist got rid of all bump steer and/or death wobble.
I am aware. Which is why the front end is getting torn down. But as a truck that very rarely drives on the road, it's not much of an issue for me.More like band aid. Those issues are still there
I'd advocate correcting those, then add hydro. Makes the truck drive better
It's a D60 thing. Even with new components in the king pin system and new TRE/DRE ends, they may still wobble. Pinion correction shims also amplify the issue.I am aware. I do have a HP60, just not on the K5...It's a D60 thing. Even with new components in the king pin system and new TRE/DRE ends, they may still wobble. Pinion correction shims also amplify the issue.
High pinion is a wonderful thing. Fixes drive line angle so you can fix caster/camber and everything else without creating a sympathy issues.
Wish GM would have done that from the factory
Likely when you rotated it, it pissed everything off.Simpathy issues... I think sympathy issues are going to be the nail in the coffin towards a linked front end. I moved my front axle to where I wanted it & the tie rod hit the spring plate. Moved it back, bought a god awefull expensive long slip driveshaft to accommodate leaf springs, rotated pinion up to correct driveline angles & now my drag link hits my springs. I am thinking maybe when I cut my C's & rotate them to correct caster I may gain the clearance I need for the drag link. Also hoping correcting my caster & a good alignment will help lesion the bump steer somehow. I WILL be driving this thing long distances & need it to play nice on the road.

you're running EZ inches in front right? Remove those and push your B52's forward instead. Also add some bolts so they don't fall off![]()
