I like the full skid idea. Couple guys that used to wheel with us ran S10 blazers on skid loader tires and went everywhere with a full skidplate largely in part due to being able to just slide it over stufff
It's pretty clean, complete & whoever did the cab chop did a pretty good job. Needs a flexplate, torque converter & Battery & I think it's good to go. I think after that a paint job & some tires & I'll have a great kid hauler.

I was feeling like I needed some more sheet metal work to do because I enjoy it so much so I cut a big hole in the floor to gain clearance for my transfer case. Raised it about an inch & a half. Also cut down my skid plate/transercase crossmember drop framework. A full belly skid worked way better in my head than in reality. Seems like every time I dream up some cool mod I have not seen on other trucks as soon as I start to build it, I realize why I haven't seen it, it does not work! Anyway. Still have to try some stuff here & there.
Well, sort of , not really. It was given to me. I sold it for $500 then called the guy who gave it to me & told him I'd give him $250. Gas & pain to pick it up probably ate up my $250. I did get the intake runner that goes from the air cleaner to the rad support off it though! I ran over mine with the lawnmower. May steal a few odds & ends yet.
Aright I feel like I took a step or 2 in the right direction today. Traction bar crossmember in. Works great as a crossmember for my frame & will help support the skid plate. Also puts the shackle below the bar. I was contemplating a fabricated transfer case crossmember & decided to throw up the factory unit for giggles. Turned out that with the transfer case raised, it fit in the stock position, up flat on the frame like it should. The skid plate will cover it & all can remain flush. I lucked out there. I thought for sure I'd have to clearance it for the driveshaft at droop but I think it will work with no modifications. TomWoods built my shaft with a small diameter tube & it makes a big difference when it comes to clearances up there. I've got 6 degree shims from ORD to get my pinion to front shaft angle looking better. This winter I'll cut off the C's & correct my caster. Exaust looks stupid, & it is, but, I was planning on building a system from scratch anyway with a Flowmaster Y I picked up.

I just got mine raised up and of course the 1350 t case joint binds in the yokes.

It looks alright but I'll have to get it off jackstands & to town to do some poser flex tests. I'm not running a terrible amount of lift so if it is a problem I'll lower my stance some....... we will see.

Meh, I just ground them down a bit and they are happy now. Good enough.
