That's on the shop wall![]()
How was I suppose to know that?! LOL! I haven't had the privilege of being in his shop. That is funny, though.
Question still remains. So, was that an early Company logo?

Looking very good! It's definitely coming along you'll be able to drive it this summer at this rate.
Good job!
Awesome work Sir!
Love the attention to detail.
Can't wait to check it out in person.
Until then, keep up the great work!

"Thanks guys! when/where we meeting up again John?"
Kelly and I are planning to attend both the Rausch Creek and the Dunes CK5 get together.
Lots of things to get done on the trucks between now and then.
Busy year planned already including a Long Range Sniper course in June for Kelly and I. That will be Cool !!!
Trying not to let a recent serious issue at the shop stop our plans for this year.
Hope we can meet at one of these runs..??
your doing electric fans?

and he makes it look so dam easy too.....
from years of pulling the trigger!
Nice work Kert, maybe I missed it but are there more supporting struts to those shock mounts?
Yeah, the length changing and trying to compress the shock all the time is a no go.
It's almost impossible to set up a suspension on a 4 link without some shock "stand ins." Especially on a vehicle that isn't completely built yet.
If you just ran a full welded bar across the top of the engine tieing the 2 hoops together and put the cage bar ties in like these \/\/\/ at each end. then its still removable but would strengthen it a lot and prevent the flexThank you!
There will be a bar that wraps around the rear of the engine. I've also looked at making a small kicker down to the frame with another poly joint to isolate it.
I'm going back and forth on the kicker down to the frame. If I do that one, it will certainly be in the way at some point. Would add a lot of strength and resistance to twisting on the hoop itself.
I'm running bilsteins with a fairly heavy valving in the front so there will be the potential for some flex. Decisions pending.
I use an audio connector similar to that to run my stereo through the phone. I found I needed a filter so I didn't get feedback while charging the phone. Same thing happens in my '08 Silverado. This is the one I got http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001EAQTRI/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 and it works really well. This last week or so has been super busy and haven't had much time for the truck.
That being said, I made this little gadget up a couple weeks ago and hadn't gotten around to snapping a photo of it.
It's a phone charger and audio jack. I have a mount for the phone that I can either attach to the dash itself or to the dash bar of the roll cage right close by these ports.

The dash that is going in this truck was originally built for the crew cab so some of the gauges that were there no longer apply and I just can't see starting over or having an empty hole.
