great, I didn't think you could move it that much by looking across the fenders.
will moving the rad affect anything else like hoses, intercooler, etc?
Only thing I'd have to change is the fan shroud. Its about as simple as it gets, not tough to change that up. I'll have to do a minor wiring harness reroute but I left plenty of length to do that. Really just need to move it toward the engine a tick. Sort of hang it on the engine side of the fan shroud.
Got the project truck back out of moth balls and got it moved around.
Started tearing off the box sides. Might end up replacing both of them. One is obviously pretty badly beat up. The other has a spot below the trim line that I'm kinda on the fence whether I want to fix it or replace it.
Yes, building a hard top. The back of the cab has been cut out but haven't done any finish work with it yet. We recently pulled the box sides off so they can be configured for permanent attachment to the cab.
Started on what I call the "hard body" conversion. Much like the Nissa pickups back in the day, the box was an integral part of the cab, that's whats going on here. Like a blazer but quite a bit longer. Like a suburban but quite a bit shorter.
Currently the plan is to weld the floor to the back of the cab as well as the box sides on the inside. Where the outer fenders overlap the cab, we'll use some body panel glue. Then from there it should be a thin skim coat of body filler to finish it out.
