81 k5 build.... literally in the driveway

I figured as much, but the TBI intakes are aluminum, and a dime a dozen. At one time they made a spacer so you could modify a standard small block intake to work with the newer cylinder heads.

Ahh well that makes sense. The pipe i bought is 3/4", with a 1" od. (Thereabouts)

Yep. Pipe is designed to flow fluids/gas so size is determined for flow rates etc.

Tube is more structural based. Sorry I work for a plumber lol

sorry if i missed it but what are the specs on the engine? .030 over 350?

Yes. Its a .030 over 350. I think that puts it at 355. Im currently in the market for a cam/lifter package. Itll be for swirl port heads (weak version of vortecs 87-95). What cam did you use? Specs? (Yours is a 400ci?)

Yeah youve got a 406, so its kinda an apples to oranges comparo. If it were me, id go with the second one, as it seems more of a lower end cam. But its not me. Lol.

Mine is a driver, so i want SOMETHING, but obviousy nothing too radical. 1000-5000 rpm would be ideal.

For some reason, .430 lift, 210 duration seems to make sense for my motor.

Also, the jegs site states lift with 1.5 rockers, whereas the summit lisys the EXACT same cam lift with stock rocker arms??????

Seems to imply the stock rocker arms are 1.5:1 ratio arms???

If it has swirl port heads on it, it is probably a roller block, not?

Martin

Martin, no, it is not a roller block. Its actually out of a 70 z28 camaro. At least, thats where my reasearch led me.

Wage, do you know the formula to find lift with 1.6 rockers when advertised lift is for 1.5 ....?
