82 K20 CREW "WONTON"

Once its on the road, I think it will be more than ready for offroad. I just want to get a few miles on it and work out any bugs before I take it somewhere.
I full agree. Additionally, ORD posted a blog about running the Adventure.
Premise being that a truck that works correct on the road stands a better chance off road. A lot of truth in that

When you get done building a truck. Go put a hundred road miles on it. That will show you what still needs work
I subscribe to the same. The rigors of stop-and-go traffic and driving through downtown's rubicon of a main street gave me a quick view of what needed tuning.

I also agree. Several times I have subscribed to the "i trust it" mentality and gotten burned at an event of some sort. When a 15 mile trek to the grocery store would have revealed the problem.

Trucks getting closer! I ran into a bunch or issues with the steering. Bad pump, misdrilled gearbox. But I've got those figured out now. Need to install my new gearbox, install shock mounts and build driveshafts.

Went to the lake this weekend and decided to craigslist and drive. Found this 84 k30, 350, sm465, np205 in Winsor CO. So we packed up and made a quick trip out. It's extremely clean and basically rust free, one small spot on the cab corner. Used to be a tow truck so I'll have to shorten the frame.

I saw that one for sale on craigslist....I thought about it for a minute, but decided I have too many other projects going on....glad you picked it up. Build it as you mentioned above, and maybe I'll buy it off you then :waytogo:

Yup, I seem to remember the tree you speak of in your first post... Love the 2 tone brown, we should park together sometime & reunite the force.
