82 K5-Texas4x4rebels. Thinking about parting out the K5

Just some quick pics while I was checking to see if I trimed the fenders far enough.

Fenders look great, how do they work?

Well, they bolt on over the inner fenders. The main purpose is to continue the body lines to the grill area of the truck and provide a nice surface with which to apply a final coat of paint. They are also used to provide a nice surface to mount items such as emblems/logos, turn signal/marker lights and antennae. They are also useful for locating items on a narrow trail such as the lone rock that could cause any damage or a tree. Sometimes with the tree you can see how old it is but with the rock you almost always are able to tell how old your body panel is.:surepal:

Yup thats about right.HAHA

The passanger side I got trimed and looks all pretty but the drivers side had been mangeled by the tire so the cut didnt end up like I wanted it but I just gotta adjust the inner fender and it should be fine.

Oh I forgot I was bored and had never really got on the new motor so I was driving on the empty two lane road behind my house and threw it down in first, went to wot and made it to about 60 in first gear and was only at about 4800-5000 rpms big tires and 3.08s not so great low speed but you can drive like a million mph.

This weekend Ill be in lubbock for the Texas game and next weekend Ill be in Arkansas.

At the risk of being banned or forever being labeled a smartass (not that there's anything wrong with that!)...

Sorry guys. Hijack is over.

How are you liking the new fuel pump? Was it worth the money?

I love the pump easy to install and definitely worth the money I can hear it running but if it was a in tank I bet you would never hear it.

A little update I got my gauges installed. I picked up a auto meter water temp, oil pressure, and fuel gauge. All work great except for the fuel level I thought my factory gauge was bad but I guess I was wrong. So I dropped the fuel tank. I thought it only had about a gallon or two in it I had been adding about 5 gallons at a time and driving it but I guess its not using as much fuel as I thought cause its looks to be over half a tank. Pulled the sending unit and ohm tested the sender its shot ordered a new new should have it Monday. Only pic I have now ill get some pics soon.

OK the guy that has the axles said he would sell me the whole cucv for 1500 bucks so I plan to pick it up next weekend Im gonna keep the axles, Trans, and transfer case.

Would any one be interested in the 6.2 and what would it be worth he said it running and driving but he has the module out of one of his other cucvs in it cause it was bad.

Got the new sending unit installed and the tank back in gauges all work now first time to ever have a working gas gauge in the blazer.
