yeah I agree, the bed liner should hide most the stuff I gotta patch but I noticed someone has been into this truck before they did an awful bed liner job. just makes it harder for me to get down to the rust and metal lol

Because it looks hack when you take them out. If it is an offload only toy, I can kind of understand, but it looks stupid on a plated rig, and it's hard for the next guy to fix.

My aluminum dash is 10x easier to get to things for maintenance and it will never crack like a stock dash and theres no plastic parts on it to break. I see it as a win-win
I see where your coming from and I know what you taking about with it looking weird in there, but imo it would only dumb if you left everything else stock and used the aluminum dash, but I'm not putting carpet in and I'm building a center console for it and I want to put in a floor shifter, and same for the bed, so the inside will look far from stock, but the stock dash does look good no matter what, down side is mines all cracked and sun damaged and the guy before me has stripped out all the screw holes and drilled his own in various spots and it would be easier to just install the aluminum dash. And I plan on being buried in this truck so I'm not worried about the next guy haha
And then theres this, it looks much easier to get inside of to fix things plus IL be the one putting it together so yeah IL know how to work on if I need to, plus your right no sundamage or cracking to worry about.
okay got some more updates, finally got the passenger side all welded up and done besides the rocker panel im waiting to do those till I get moved into the new shop.
okay on to the driver side the floor pan really wasn't all that bad mainly just surface rust but like the passenger side except 10x worse the corner was rotted all to hell, doesn't look like it at first but once I started tapping on it with my body hammer it just kept falling away
once I got into it and started cutting I noticed this body support wobbling and thought well what the hell? and I reached in a just pulled it out, nothing was holding it at all. I hadn't cut on anything it was attached to I had checked underneath before starting so had to stop and repair that as well. its not the prettiest in the world but it will hold once I get it back in, put some spray can bedliner on it after I took the picture.
then I finally got the rest of the rusty crap cut out of the floor and bed im going to try and have it all the way welded together by the end of the day tomorrow so the floor will be done except for both rocker panels. then I think im going to mess with building a center console and floor shifter or at least get some build plans going for the thing but well see.

By now I suspect you hate rust as much as I hate it.
oh yeah, its not a ton of rust thats a headache, its just where its located that makes it a pain in my ass haha
so been a little while since iv messed with the blazer been very busy. but found a little time to mess with it started cleaning out all the crap wiring I did and decided to remove the whole front brush guard and the lightrack on top I figure it will be easier to work on it later after I took it off I kept looking at it thinking man it looks weird but in a way I kinda like the look so I thought id post what it looks like see what you guys think. im going to try to start working on it again but anyway tell me what you think im thinking of keeping the light rack and brush guard off.

Haha. she hasn't seen dirt or mud in a long time. id love to take her out once shes done.
