Order them for the frame. I made that mistake and some of the pucks didnt fit the frame worth anything. Mines a 91 2wd body on an 80 4wd frame, so I feel your mismatch pain.

Lol, yes I have been down that road. Mine is entirely to many vehicles now. 91 2wd 1/2 ton body, 80 3/4ton 4wd frame, 2000 454 converted to an 90/91 TBI (Whatever I could find to work parts), and a 205 that basically came out of a Ford and stuffed into a Chevy case. Its a blast ordering parts I will say.
I've had more than one parts guy get irritated with me, I would imagine you've had the same experience (s).

Yep, best thing to do I discovered is frequent one store. Have them set up an account or something for you and then they store the vehicles you need. I have several stored with parts bought for all of them. Really helps with parts numbers and such.
Found some free time to work on the truck over the weekend finally.
ORD pucks and Poly Cab mounts arrived
I went ahead and did the easy part and installed the pucks under the bed
also painted up my redneck bumper and got it installed. Damn thing is HUGE
and definitely temporary but I'm gonna rock it for a bit.
The trans mounts are beyond worn out and I wanted to get those installed before I drop the cab down 2" onto the 1" ORD pucks so I ordered a new set of poly trans mount from Summit today, I'll have those tomorrow.
Last night during that pathetic football game I tore back the carpet and residential padding

With the new trans mounts this will likely need a little trimming on the passenger side and I'll throw a boot around it for now. With the new frame, np205 this winter I'll weld a 4wd trans tunnel onto the floor.
While I'm tearing the interior apart I decided to address other wiring issues such as the blower that doesn't work, missing heater ducting, gas gauge doesn't work, burn out gauge lights, install a stereo and run new speaker wires. Need to hit the yard this weekend, got a list of parts that is continuously growing.

While replacing gauge lights you should pull the entire cluster which you will anyways and paint the reflective surfaces chrome. It really helps brighten the dull factory setup, and actually works wonders on taillights as well.
It's pulled sitting on the bench already.
I'll have to take a closer look at it tonight and see what areas you're referring to.

Just search for cluster brightening on here, and it will describe it very well. Its quite simple and well worth it for a can of cheap paint.

It's about time I update this thread.
installed poly transmission mounts
cleaned up the gauge cluster, sprayed the inside of the housing chrome and updated the bulbs. Now I can actually see the gauges at night.
While I had the cluster out I figured out the saddle tank fuel sending unit wiring so it could read the K5 sending unit I now had. It's nice to have a fuel gauge with the thirsty BBC.
Scored some better drive shafts from craigslist (two on the right), these were from a k5 with an atlas. The front looks to be close to the right length, the rear will need to be extended. Haven't found the correct flange for the front tcase output though.
Cab mounts were finally replaced with the ORD's along with the 1" pucks. T case is rubbing the floor a little and I had to find an OEM shift rod since the the one on the truck was extended (hacked). The Ford shock towers are hitting the cab a little too, I'll massage those later. Also removed the overloads from the rear 57" springs so it's sitting pretty level with a slight rake.
The front shackle angle was too flat and the springs would hit the frame offroad so I moved the springs to the forward most set of holes on the B52's. I think this angle looks pretty good.
Next two priorities are crossover/Hi-Steer and get the front drive shaft figured out. I have the knuckles and the 2wd pitman arm.

I like the F250 Shock towers. I'm gonna have to do that for myself! Definitely easier and cheaper than tubing!
I might have missed it, but do you already have the 2WD steering box? If not, I'm interested to see where you go with that. I'm not sure what I'm going to do yet but the options are pretty spread out.
$10 bucks at the junkyard for one that is probably beat

or
$300+ for a "Extreme Duty" tapped box

Not much to update other than I've been hoarding parts and planning the next phase of the build. I've finally got my hands on a D60, the 203 is on it's last leg so I'm hunting down a 700 trans to mate to the 205 I have. The big decision I need to make is whether to put all the parts on the spare unmolested frame rather than put it all on the current frame (cracked and abused).
oh and I picked up a new hobart 210mvp over the holidays
Shackle angles front and rear look really good, just about perfect IMO. Find either a junk yard or reman 2wd box, then just get the tapped end-cap from DIY4x and tap the top cap yourself for hydro assist. I think I spent just shy of $300 on my whole hydro assist setup (and it was only that high cause I went with a full d60 cover from DIY4x while I was at it too) and I freaking love it. It's smooth, quiet, and stays plenty cool. And don't listen to all those guys who say the tapped caps for hydro assist is the wrong way to go....those are the guys who spend to much on parts and have no real world experience for their comments

and yes it's looking better with the cab lined up, even the wife stopped giving me hell about it.
