I mounted mine like this, it is close to the radiator tho....another thing with the engo, check all the bolts and seals. mine were a bit loose all around. they work good for the money tho.

that's slick. I assume it's supported below from the radiator support? Funny you mention the loose bolts, I did notice that and also the weather seals going into the solenoid box were not as tight as they should be IMO.

Thanks for the info

I built a couple brackets that bolt in to the core support. unless you mount the box under the hood reseal it. mine leaked and now the solenoids are shot.

That's the problem I've had with inexpensive winches in the past - they're not sealed up good.

It's sounding like it's worth the effort to put the box under the hood. Then make a pigtail from the solenoid box to a plug that's mounted up front somewhere.

finally found some m10-1.50 x 40mm bolts with a small enough head to fit in the hawse so I got that mounted up last night. I decided against moving the solenoid box under the hood for now so I cut the grille and mounted it on top of the winch.

The rear 7/16" brake line fitting I was waiting for was delayed through WFO but they called and said I would have it today. Great service from those guys :D

The plan is to get the bed back on this weekend and see how it drives around. Then onto the next phase which is front axle seals, ruffstuff tie rod, redo the front shocks and see how (or if) the front driveshaft is going to work. Then onto the twinstick, headers, new exhaust piping and mufflers :doah:

Ran around the neighborhood without mufflers and stopped up the street for some poser shots. The bed bolts closest to the cab are loose btw.

Turns out the anti-wrap crossmember is rubbing the driveshaft so I'll flip that around and finish off the bars.

Looks great. no mufflers is the best. I cant help myself to start up a vehicle when I take exhaust or a cat off. Is that an instagram rendering? Time to lop off those front fender fangs!

I was at Chevron and a couple cougars thought it was a "speed boat" :haha:
The pic is modified through an app called Aviary that does some pretty cool stuff. I have some trimming lines masked off, more to come on that later.

What are you doing for turn signals with the bumper gone?

Martin

I'd bet just leaving them below the headlights :dunno:

yep :waytogo:

Here are some other pics I snapped yesterday after the bed was back on

Looks like White Lightning has turned into "White Cougar Magnet."

And how are those old style BFG M/Ts still in such good shape? They haven't made those in several years, so they have to be pretty old. I had a set like that and I really liked them but they dry rotted away after about 6 years in the hot GA sun. They still had 50% tread after 35,000 miles or so and several punctures and low p.s.i. episodes. I have the newer version on there now and I think I actually prefer the old style like you have. Maybe that's why no cougars ever talk to me. :haha:

Open Exhaust + Old BFG's = Panty Dropper :haha:

They're pretty old and have weather cracks, I wouldn't trust them on a real trail.

I have some 37" Interco M16's going on soon.

Looks sweet! i need to catch up to you! Gonna have to break out the :grind::hack: with those 37s! The purists are going mustard in there underwear...

Yep. My kid did that yesterday. Looked like someone had emptied a bottle of Dijon in her diaper. It had nothing to do with cut fenders though.
