Flooding
So last week my truck cut off on me and it was flooding, Held the pedal to the floor and got it started and drove it back to the house, while the thing kept wanting to cut off, drove it like I stole it to get it home. Would run fine WOT and sputtered part throttle and would not idle. Got it home and saw that it was flooding (gas flowing into the carb with engine off). Also the see through fuel filter was slammed filled with gas (use to keep an air bubble in it) looked like it was gonna bust. So I'm thinking either fuel pump check valve bad or return line clogged. So I replaced the pump and blew air through the return line and all works good........until the truck cuts off again. Hmmmmmmm...........So I take the Edelbrock 1406 off (1 year old) and checked the float level, i adjusted them slightly when I decided to take the floats off and give them a shake, yep, gas in one of them. Now waiting till tomorrow morning for Advance to get the new floats in. What a day.
