'84 K5 Build (Midlife Crisis)

Hope your Shock hoops unbold. Otherwise it should be interesting to pull that engine when you need to.

The shock hoops are from ruff stuff. I cut about 3" off and fish mouthed them onto the frame. MUST have a cross bar to tie them together because our frames are so weak. I will be fabbing a full tube cage tying everything together eventually. The frame needs lots of help. I may eventually box it in with one of kert's kits down the road. It's definitely the best riding leaf spring vehicle I've ever driven off road but I will say it's like a marshmallow on the street but The only street it sees is on the way to the desert. Or 7-11 lol.

Oh and I forgot to mention all the vibration is gone with the double cardan driveshaft. Smooth as glass.
And the new front driveshaft is a beast!

And please don't beat me up on the welds. Lol. No wire feed at the moment so I had to stick everything.

Let's play guess what this is. First is an up close pic so you can see it, then a reference shot.

You guessed it. I believe I need some taller bump stops. I'm glad it barely kissed. Would of sucked to hurt my new box.
:o

Any suggestions? I think I have 5.5" from spring to drag link and 6.5 " from spring plate to stock bumpstop. I know what I'd like to put on it but my budget is shot right now.

Something like mine. Works rather well have about $10 into it. Put a triangle bump on the bottom of it. I had to fix my frame where it had ripped so the bigger piece of plate was for that.
