The specs say on at 195 off at 185, but on the actual temp switch it's stamped 180 so...
 
I really do-not-like this engine. Now its runnin poopy. I can pull certain plug wires off and makes no difference. It ran perfect when i took it out a few days ago. I think the feeling is mutual. I would already be pulling it out but i need some stuff first and some money. Got none thanks to worthless bitches. I need to order an external balance flywheel
and a new wiring harness for my megasquirt. And you know how the MAW will rear its head in the process. Oh plus a whole new fuel line setup. And redo the exhaust to driver side only.

Sounds like something ain't right.. gimmie a call if your free later, maybe we can figure out what the deal is.. I'm familiar with the megasquirt.
 
Pulled the plugs and did a compression test. All 8 cylinders are identical at about 125. Put new plugs back in and it seems to run fine again. You could definitly tell the old plugs had been overheated. Going to take her to the desert tonight and burn some food. See how it goes.
 
haha! I stocked up too afterwards.

I have the hitch in and will be working on the wiring tonight. If all goes good can I swing by tomorrow?
 
Went to the desert last night to help my neighbor retrieve his daughters car that she poked a hole in the oil pan. Left the MC sitting there idling for a while while we hooked up a strap and he says hey your leaking coolant. I say hmm must have a hose clamp loose or something. Then it starts puking coolant, I go over and look and its in the red! Wtf!
I shut it off and open the hood then I realize the fans arent running. I look at the temp switch and its unplugged. (n)(n):frown:frown:weapon22:Goddamnit! Never unplug your your fans when your working on it and forget about it.

Don’t worry I did the same damn thing on Ethel’s Malden voyage..
