Going to attemp to salvage this hoop and get my spare mounted to the back before BB. Wish me luck.

I like the design. We built a quick spare mount that folds down for mine. It fit into the tow receiver. After using it all summer I am growing tired of lifting it up to secure. I knew it would be a pain, but lacked time before the desert trip to do a swing out.

Just what I was afraid of. The pull pin point is too similar to the pivot point and won’t hold.
I think it’s going to have to go up higher like this but I really didn’t want to attach to the body...

Or could it work this simply? Only a tack on each corner of the tab holds the weight. So two fully welded tabs should hold huh?
