85 Jimmy's, always something build.

wicked truck! i really like that bumper

Killer truck. And thank you for your service. Much appreciated.

Thanks guys!
I still have plans for it, but for now it works. I just get in a mood where I want to do something to it. I've got a 203 and 205 that I rebuilt, just need the doubler kit to finish that. Then I want to push the rear axle back a couple inches. I only want to do driveshafts once, so those will probably happen at the same time. But, I like driving the truck, so I don't want it to be down right now.

So, I got tired of the saggy headliner.

I pulled it out yesterday and used a brush to knock off the old foam.

Now I just need to get some new foam, some spray adhesive, and my wife told me to use a confederate flag as my headliner, but I think if I'm going to change it, it'll be to an American flag.

I guess it has been a while since I made an update.
I drove the truck for awhile just the way it was. Then coming home from work I could feel and hear the transfer case acting funny. Got home and turns out the bushing in the tail shaft housing is wasted, along with another trans mount that had been ripped apart.
So, in the beginning of September I ordered a doubler adapter from NWF, the mainshaft to connect the 203 and 205 had been on backorder until I received it this passed Friday...

On my way home from hunting this morning I realized that I haven't ordered the 2" spacer, since I have a 700r4... :doah:
I took the old 208 out anyway, and I have the 203 done and ready to go in. Just waiting on the spacer now.

Finally a build thread that isn't 250 f----- pages long yaaaaay!!! Great pics and a great truck I like it. Thanks for going to that s--thole to serve our country btw:usaflag:

I'm not popular, that's why it's not long. It's also a condensed version from everything that I've done for the last 10 or so years.

Anyway, I got the doubler in tonight. I'll get pictures when it's light tomorrow. I need to start making a crossmember.

Are you going to bring it to mobile?

I went to schedule off for that day, but the work schedule was already done, and I'm working.
It wouldn't be ready for the mobile get together anyway. Since I start school back up on Tuesday, progress will probably stop again, only getting a little time here and there to work on it.

Don't get it too heavy in one giant piece that you can't take it on and off w/o a forklift. Make it in multiple pieces if you need to.
