I run walkers on both of my Tahoe's no issues. I made a very similar mount for my buddy's 72 K5. It's worked well so far...
I need to pick one upPut a fuel pressure gauge on it.
The are ran through the frame rail and have a heat shielding on them wen they are near the exhaust and engine. How are your fuel lines ran to and from tbi? How close are they to the exhaust?
I will have to get that at my local speed shop, what throttle cable and bracket are you running

If your running true dual all the way with no cross over pipe connecting before mufflers it will be more poppy/rappely. I have true dual 2.5 flowmasters, 40 series, all the way out the back side exits, and had the X over put in and really toned down idle, cruiseing speed noise, but gets way louder on the big end. I really liked how it sounds over true duals.Does anyone have suggestions for a muffler that rumbles at idle but sounds higher pitched (kinda like a race truck) at high RPM. Im tired of the straight pipe and sounding like a boat.
Is the return ran from tbi to tank? What size is the returns smallest point and where at? I know on my 87 sending unit goes to a 5/16 and I'm hopeing that the c5 filter/return will keep it cool enough. But after reading into, it doesn't take much for fuel to vaporize. In moved my fuel lines to the top and side of frame rail and made a very big improvement. Didn't have any vapor lock issues towing 10k up hills on hwy, thats with FCC, when before I couldn't get 10 miles before it would vapor lock and die, leaveing me stranded for a couple hours, unless I unhook fuel lines. Then t would be matter of mins. And it was all good til I did some very slow under 35mph, NOT towing, stop and go driving and idleing. And it started vapor locking again, I even managed to pull over and get out and see fuel in the feed low psi filter slowly going down and disappearing. Due to FCC boiling gas. After a few minutes of being shut down, it would be good to go again. I think alot of the issues with these efi TBI kits id vapor locking the fuel system and keeping the gas cool enough. Maybe because they don't have alot of injectors and there all on top in the tbi , that causes the gas to boil/vaporize in the lines.Truck died on the freeway today looks like fuel starvation is the issue
Yeah that would be great the stock cable gets gummed up with mud, and I have gone through 3.You should be able to pickup the fitting and gauge if its a decent speed shop. We get summit stuff next day so I usually use that route. The bracket and cable is a lokar kit. Requires some mods of the pedal that I can share (if you care) since I'm sure the photos in my thread are gone with the photobucket debacle.

Dam that's got me worried. But could be pump over heating too, but try rerouteing the fuel lines. Or just half. Take note of the engine temp. Mine dropped 20* when I did it too. Now it doesn't go over 145*, in 80* clear weather. And not past 175* towing 10k up hill singing along at 3000rpms. I know it's low temp but I'm up here at 7k elevation. And it's got a huge aftermarket 4 row aluminum radiator. And I would imagine it get warmer down south. Also the return is all the way from the tbi
you think that it leads to worse gas milage because im getting less than before the swapAlso when I had a carb on it, t was waaaayyyy to rich up here at 7kelv. and would spit and spudder black suit. But would run way better the hotter it got. So I'm sure it was do to fuel vaporizeing leaning it out.
Thanks, thats a really clean way to do it ill have to order one of thoseHere are the parts I used for the throttle cable/bracket:
Lokar cable

Summit throttle bracket

The only thing I had to modify was the pedal since the lokar bracket has a clevis end on it so I cut a little tab and welded it on.
