I see what you mean Campfire, with not knowing whats wrong with it , other than it steers like a bumper car amount of play, the steering column moves 6" side to side and turns, yet tracks straight , doesn't pull itself one way or the other..... but bounces really bad going over bumps ... which is probably the shocks.

...

Another thing is I thought of, However is the steering stabilizer, since I see it looks bad and worn.... so maybe a front bushing rebuild kit or a set of urethane ones ...

My point was that you should tackle the things you know are bad before you start swapping out things that might be contributing to the problem. If you know the steering column and the stabilizer are hosed, I would start with them. It may turn out that everything else is working. :dunno:

yes i agree campfire ...steering stabilizer is cheap and easy and the coloumn

should be easy to tighten maybe , i didn't go deep enough, but have a strange and funny feeling it needs to be replaced ... but certainly whittleing away one step at a time is better than just throwing parts at it

and yes i work on lots of hot rods cars all the time, also lots of ferrari's, bentley's Astons, etc... been detailing 22 years and near 6500 cars experience ..

here's a 47 Ford i do every year

so yes I work on alot of cool cars ...

and these few pics don't even scratch the kinds of vehicles I've detailed ... I thousands of pics ... Oh yeah ... here's one I did last week ... it really "Flies" ... lol

Looks like fun!

That Nissan sure gets around, though...

:haha:

yes the Nissan serves me well ... is coated with a hydrophobic coating ( not wax ) , so the paint is more or less " Self Cleaning" ... and it runs very well ...

Yes I do semi permanent and absolutely permanent hydrophobic coatings as well ! ha

so now back to the Coal Burner ... lol

so as much as I'd like to mess with the burb tomorrow ... I have a black bmw to detail ... so hopefully I'll mess with it sun or monday ...

so whats a good steering stabilizer out there for this burban ?
