This is not a dedicated trail rig, but does trailer to the destination usually. I am currently in the planning phase of doing a 52/56" spring swap, and getting back to being more road worthy.

Hell even the place i work at, which helped develop little boy and fat man and discover elements has outsourced work we could be doing here. Annoying to say the least.

Been running Deka Intimidator batteries for about 5 years now without a problem.
See if your local parts stores have old Optimas they have to sell used. That's how/why I got mine

Just got an Interstate MT-78 for my turd.

Deka batteries are made in the USA. Berks County, PA and Corydon, Iowa.
I just called interstate, and they have some blem batteries for $54 exchanged. For that cheap I will try that route.

Swapped the battery last night. It's amazing what a good battery will do for a vehicle. Truck even seems to run better, and with efi I know that can cause some run issues with a sub par battery.

Yeah, you don't realize how much the starter had slowed down until you get that fresh battery in there.
That, and I have also came to the conclusion that I am running too low of amp alternator. Factory would have been a 68 amp I do believe, the fans alone are using 50. The fuel pump is pulling 10. That's not even considering the HEI and the ECM for the EFI. I know there are a few more little things I'm not thinking of that are pulling more amps, so I ordered a 100amp alt. from my work. Should be here tomorrow.
