'86 Jimmy 4in Lift, 40’s, tons, 8.1 Swap- 700r4 said PNNNNN

This is not a dedicated trail rig, but does trailer to the destination usually. I am currently in the planning phase of doing a 52/56" spring swap, and getting back to being more road worthy.
Once upon a time, K&N made a hard plastic surround piece that would cover half of a 4" tall air cleaner. I'll see if I can find it.

I was going to say that charging $27 for the bottom of a black trashbag is also crazy expensive. :whistle:
Go ahead and try that on your diesel and report back with the results. I bet you could really roll some coal with that new prefilter setup.

Whaaa?

<re-reads original post>

I realize I misread your post. I thought that was a waterproof cover you put over the intake when hosing down your engine bay. I totally missed the point. :blush:

Carry on, wayward son...

Lol, I wondered. :haha:

So tonight I worked on fuel routing ideas and cleaning up/looming some wires. Didn’t get any pictures of the wiring as it’s dark, but I’ll take a progress shot in the morning.

As for fuel line. This a good route for the top of the engine down to the frame rail? This is just my first rough draft idea. Should I add some 45/90/180* fittings somewhere?

Also, any sharp edge contact will get some extra attention to prevent any chafing on the fuel line.

Lookin good dude!

That is just some rubber line to use for mock up. It will eventually be steel and nylon braided, still need the heat shield?
Yeah I would look into a shield.

Was the route down past the dizzy ala factory TBI routing not good?

Yeah, I'd try and go up and over the top of the trans and up the back of the intake...
