sweet build thread! any recent updates?
. I'm hoping to start making some progress again this winter, some of the other cummins swap guys posting start up and first drive vid's are killing me
I suffer from severe PPADD ( powersport project attention deficit disorder ) I can't seem to finish a project with out picking up another
, I still have a to do list on the K30, I'm building a 53 Willys wagon for my dad, helping my brother with his Wagoneer 1 ton swap, going to do a big bore kit and head swap on Jacobs quad for next race season and to make it interesting I just picked up a 01 CR250 for myself (I sold the exact same thing when Jacob was born and always missed it ).
^^^^^^Nice, that's exactly what he needed^^^

Cool build. I wanted a 4bt for my 77 stepper but settled on a turbo'd 6.2 due to low budget. My father and I are also building a willys wagon (1956).

Any updates?
Martin

Regretfully, no![]()
It has been serving as a garage floor hold down system and Cummins engine stand for quite sometime. I am going to get the TBI swap done on the K30 and try to leave it alone and just use it........hopefully freeing up some funds and time to get backon the K5.
I really need to focus on getting it to run.....that will really motivate me to get it going![]()

what kind of horsepower and torque are you getting to the rear wheels on this project
jk! I didn't know you had a build thread for this. Subscribed![]()
I know its been awhile, but any plans on running a full topper or a soft top? If so whats your plans? I really want a full vert just thinking the conversion may be the way to go if you can adapt a soft top to it. Also where did you get the conversion parts, and how much? Been looking on CL out in Cali and I can easily pick up a decent almost rust free rig for about 3grand. Full verts are running 5+. For a rig that will spend most of its life covered in the barn I guess I shouldn't worry about it too much.
and the frame it self had rotted through in a few places.
welded in the 75 upper frame. I simply "capped" the holes on the top of the bedsides and really that's about it. There is actually a pretty good write up in the tech section that has some good pics. Thanks, I have gone over the write up on the home page a few times. It looks easy enough. I plan on running half doors, so I shouldn't need the full door conversion. hmmm
Damn all these ideas in my head. Probably wont be able to sleep tonight.
, you can definitely handle it
