It brings all the other accents like chrome and striping out. Accenting the color is what makes it pop.

wow, 100,000 views.... cool, thanks for the interest guys!

If I went with the black, no stripes, etc... nor chrome... just the alum rims... maybe an orange CK5 windshield sticker to offset the razorbacks, etc...

basically, the colors of the truck would be satin black, chevy orange and some polished alum/ss thrown in here and there.... pretty simple, could be cool...

I agree for the most part. I however would add the typical 1 big 1 small pinstripe and maybe a TINY von dutchish thing at the back end of the pinstripe along with something small above the tailgate handle and something small on the hood. Small details add a lot of charicter. (in chevy orange of course)

well, I figure the orange with black will be pretty drastic...... thats why I want to keep it to a minimum under the truck... dif covers, x-over, shackles, thats about it.. dont think I'd do the pin stripes, I'll let the tree branchs do that.. :wink1:

But what I would definitely like to do is have my boat name painter bud do a little orange lettering on the side of the cowl hood.... and possibly something small at the fender badge area...

the other thing I just thought was that the nose may be a little too much black now... I'm definitely doing the expanded steel grill in black.. hmmm, maybe do the front and rear bumper a flat alum color.... that'd be different... or at least the skid...

The black body and bumpers with orange cage, select drivetrain parts, AND expanded metal grill would look awesome I think.

I like the copper with black accents on top, and black with copper/orange accents down below. But it is yours to do with as YOU please.:D

Whichever way you go, that thing will look, and function, awesome.

All of it is quite impressive. So much so, I would be embarrassed to park, (or wheel) next to you, in my junky old stock-like Blazer.:o

Still can't wait to see the "finished" product.

Looking AWESOME!!

Sorry about all the a$$ kissing, but I'm jealous. (of the truck and your abilities!)

Don't worry about me, I'm very happily married and you live too far away to visit!!:haha:

I'm sure you wouldn't, but whatever you do, don't make it so purdy that it ruins your day the first time you stuff a fender into a tree/rock/honda. :waytogo:

I may go satin black primer for my blazer, but the reason I do so is because I can't store my blazer indoors. A good paint job would be a waste of money.

If I could store my blazer indoors, I would paint my blazer a two tone orange and white.

I like the cooper you have already painted your blazer, so that is what I voted.

Thanks for the imput guys!:bow::bow:

Glad to see quite a few liking the copper...after all, it does "buck the trend" of this place somewhat... :wink1:

I'm really kinda up in the air at this point on this subject.. It was something I hadn't even contemplated till the other day.. so I guess the excitement of a possible color change has me going a little bit..

The idea of the black with the tube bumpers in some sort of semi alum color is very intriguing to me, and something I'm strongly considering..I also think it may not be as "busy" as the copper/black theme..

when I have to make a decision on the firewall color, I'll decide... But thanks mucho for your opinions, and please keep voting.......

trust me, no worries there.. I'm a body guy, reshootin the side of a truck on a sunday is no big thang for me if I smash it up and want to fix it.. :wink1:

My truck is that orangish color and I love it. That with black accents would look great! But that's just me. Trucks lookin great!

Make it BLACK and stealthy.... like a sr71 Blackbird.... You already have all the cool widgets to go along with the paint:thumb:

There is somebody else with a copper K5... can't recall his ID...

Edit: Col_Sanders

my fave month on the recent calendar.... :wink1: copper with the black softtop plunging a mudhole...

Hey dude love the truck, I've been following your build for a while. I love your truck and your attention to detail.:bow:

Just a thought but what if you painted your truck a two tone like how it used to be with the copper color in the middle and the satin black where it was that brown color before. I think that might look cool, but it would definitely be harder to maintain.

But if you do keep it one color i say copper, because you don't see many that color and since you already accent pieces i think it'll look better with it especially if you do the cage copper too. That's just my two cents though, I'm sure however you end up painting it your truck will look sick.

I was wondering too, when you repair the satin black is it harder to match then a high gloss finish? I ask because i did some work with a painter a while back who had done that type of paint job on a lotus or something and i recall him saying that it would be really difficult to repair.

sorry to ramble
