I've used radiator hose with good success. I know that like you said it may not be recommended but it works as a good temp solution
If you rub the hose with some gas, does it deteriorate?
I have a rad hose on mine too, not for long though.
I think you'll be fine for a bit.

Have you tried filling the tank at a gas pump yet? That low spot in the hose might cause the gas pump to shut off.
Not yet. That did cross my mind. Hopefully it doesn't do that too bad. How is yours ran?
Mine goes straight out the tank and takes a 90 right up through the bed floor. It's slightly down hill to the tank. Bring a 4x4 or a 6x6 piece of lumber to drive that right rear tire up on
What is the reason for moving the filler neck in the first place?
