Thats along the lines of what im thinking of doing. I need to find a k5 or some good pictures to go off of and see what i need

I'm keeping it inside the box otherwise I'll end up tearing the gas door off on a trail.

It's low on my priority list too but eventually I'll build a sheet metal box to hold a marine style filler with AL tubing and fuel rated rubber couplers running to the tank.

I have 42's on my crawler. :waytogo: They take the fun out of some places though.

I do love the challenge the 35's on my current rig provide. But having a large enough tire to go about anywhere is also nice :thumb:

Yes! Exactly the way I feel. I like big tires. My old tow rig was on 37s while my crawler was only on 38s.

40's?

Every time I think of bigger tires I think about how much I actually use this truck beyond crawling and I doubt I would ever do it. It's been hooked to a trailer for the last couple of weeks hauling my loader and firewood a couple trips a week.

With the low budget of this truck I made the lockouts work. Kinda ghetto but it'll do for now. I grinded down the little lip with my air grinder, then used 2 lock rings for the inner body of the lockout and 2 o ring gaskets on the dials lol. Going to be a real pain in the ass to get them back out, but they work as they should now and look normal.

Went to the pick n pull and got the missing upper grille trim and a new passenger side piece. Also got a new side marker lens and park light. All for $11.35. Put some new headlights in too.

Just doing that made such a difference. Looks much better I think.

Put 5 gallons of gas in with my race can and no fuel came back up and over flowed so that makes me happy.
