Also my battery trays. Made them from 1/8'' plate. Just mirrored the factory tray.

Decided the beast needed a face lift. Went and got a one piece grill from a 93. Was a pain in the ass. Had to change the core support because the headlights are moved down and to the outside a bit.

Your truck looks like its coming along nicely. I know what its like to be working on a project for a number of years. Mines been going on for almost 4 years, I'm hoping to be done by spring. I couldn't tell by the picture but are your extraction points tied into your frame or just the winch mount? I'm going to need to find a spot for mine and something to make them out of, what was it that you used?

It has been awhile since I have posted an update. Almost have the motor all complete. Need to order a few more AN fittings to finish up the fuel lines.

In between other projects I decided it needed a new dash. Just didnt care for the one that was in it. Ill let the pics explain the rest.

I bought a 95 2 door Blazer as a donor for other parts. Ended up taking all the dash, wiring, and steering column and using in mine. Also took the driver power seat out the 95. Was a bit of work, but to me it was worth it.

Finally found a set of headers that didn't need a whole lot of modifications. Started with a set of block huggers. They was hitting on the brackets that the support rods bolt to. The solution was to make a relief cut next to the flange to bring them out away from the block. Started to weld them up and ran out of wire. And last is a pic of the intake all back together. Need to get a few more AN fittings to finish the fuel lines. Then the beast may live again. Now on to the pics.

Wow the paint on the motor looks shiny in a pic. LOL:D

Was finally able to get the beast started. Still needs to be dialed in. Dont have the mass airflow sensor hooked up. Also wasnt able to check the fuel pressure, so I have no idea where its at. Here is the video.

?

Ok all. I havent made much progress on this lately. I did how how ever swap out the stock gauge cluster for one out of a 95 Astro van. It took some cutting and wiring to make work. But i think it looks pretty good.

So how exactly did you manage this task? Do you have like a tutorial because I would love to do this, Thanks so much.

Found a guy on craigslist that wanted to trade a 93 Caprice 350 for a 4.3. called the guy and made plans to meet him halfway. The 4.3 I traded only had the acc. brackets, power steering pump and water pump. The 350 was complete with the wiring and ecm. Will use all that on my other S10.

Motor was nice and clean. Guy said it had 190k or so on it.

Still have a few things to finish. have to finish up the HVAC duct work to hook up from the old heater box to the new dash.

Also need to find a gray set of 98 up S10 door panels, as they are a little bit different than the 94 to 97.

Time to drag this back out the weeds... Started to work on it again.... me and a buddy done some wheeling and dealing with a guy and got a 99 suburban for parts... Motor had no spark... Was told they put a new crank sensor in it and still nothin..... I took a good one I had and put in it, fired right up after sitting for 2 years.... Had 40 psi of oil press. cranking and 60 after it warmed up at idle... Let it run about an hour or so, then drove it to the house, on 7 cylinder, cause we forgot to put a plug wire back on.. we had the whole front clip and motor out before the water even had time to cool off...

I keep the motor and all wiring for the Blazer.... Almost ready yo drop it in.. Has accy... brackets off an 86 Corvette... Took a few years to track them down... But traded a member on here my TPI brackets for these... Done a smog pump delete...
