Take the needle off and move it back 10*
let’s wheel
I did look that over and it fits nicely. There's maybe an 1/8" gap between shroud and radiator. I did see one notch on the passenger side of the shroud that must clear something on the 6.2. Was thinking I could cover that up, not that it's very big.I'm sure you've gone over this at some point but do you have any gaps between the radiator and core support or radiator and shroud that are allowing your setup to not be as efficient as it should be.
Got that already....and a 180* t-stat![]()
Before the mechanical fan I had an 18" Lincoln fan with a 17" Volvo fan. They totally covered the 19"x35" core with a little fan hanging over on 1 side. It was great on the trail, but not so good towing. Is the gauge actually reading accurate? I'll be honest I skipped back only a few pages.
I'll be that guy though. 3800CFM with dual row 1" tubes. Its a drop in solution once you cut whatever is in the way. You'll stop hearing the insane fan noise after a few trail rides.

I've mentioned before, it probably isn't easy to find a balance between the 2 uses.
That's not a bad idea. I actually did that on my K5. I cut a shape like this [ and bent it in like a flap.So get really creative and cut you radiator support. You hole is for a gas motor and you radiator is a diesel like 6 inches are not seeing any air.
I will check it out.If you Google adjusting a thermal fan clutch, there is a lot of discussion about it. A few videos was well. I am not going to link anything here, because there is lots of discussion to sort through in some places.
Make a mark where you start and see what adjustments do.
And it's just labor to try it!!
I really believe that between the fan not coming in soon enough and the fan being too far into the shroud, you have 2 things impeding cooling because of airflow.I will check it out.
