Shoot beecher is pretty close. You should come wrench sometime. You got a rig?
I've been pretty busy lately, but I might take you up on that sometime later. I actually have a rig, but I've deemed it to rusty to be worth it, so its getting sold and I'm gonna find something better

EDIT: Just finished reading the whole thread, looks like a cool project

Ok here are the new pics

I'd personally go with the d60/d70 to do something different. d60/14bff seems overdone to me
Stupid question: was there ever a d70 front?

Yes there is. It isn't very desireable tho. Most are closed knuckle drum brake's. Not my deal. But Front 70 is where 35 spline outter's come from.

It looks like 60/14bolt. But I gotta get going on getting my friend to pull his diesel to sell me the axles.

He has a Dodge 3/4 Ton cummins with 60/70 I could get cheap minus the motor. Under $900 I would say.

Like has been said before, If ya want to run deeper than 5.38s go with the 60/70 otherwise, 60/14bff. Wait a sec, your going to install a fordhp 60 right? I think 5.13s are the lowest gear you can get for those.

Oh and yes, there is a dana 70 front. Do a search, someone was asking about one a few weeks ago

EDIT: Phil, ya beat me to it

It will most likely be LP 60. As it is availible inexpensively.Unless I score an Hp real cheap.
yea, I forgot the new dodge 60s are driver's side drop. So it will still work with your np231

Yeah, saw that too. Something like a 11.25 inch ring gear? Seems like the bigger size isn't anywhere near worth the increase in strength

Well I welded the piss outta the spider's last night. I wonder how these deciding factor's will judge the little 7.5" 10 Bolt.

-Lead foot
-Loose nut behind the steering wheel
-33's
- Welded Spider's
-SB350

I also Started on some sliders . Need to make some gussets tho.
Pics will come tommorow.

Which goes first...the complicated itsy bitsy front end or the rear end?

That is an interesting question. As soon as I get some cash I am pickin up some axles.

For now it is gonna be 3/4 Ton Front 1 Ton rear.

The Axles I am getting are as follows:
10 Bolt 3/4 Ton 4.10
D44 3/4 Ton 4.0
14Bolt FF 3/4 Ton.

The intersting question real leads to an interesting answer. I can Easily Swap is the 14 bolt , But with 33's it would be a rock anchor.

The front axle I would have to link immediately, as I refuse to SAS it with leafs.
The other thing I need to aquire before the front axle swap is going to be the doubler kit and D300. Because I want a Twinstick, and the D300 is Pass Drop.

So if the Front end goes First I hope ...... The 44 Would be getting linked , But my issue is will it be Radius Arms, or 4Link or what.

But my intent is to link it Front and rear. Method up front is undecided , The rear I think is going to be a 1/4 Eliptical.
