Gotta get some rod for the stick welder for one of the link tabs on the other side since I'm welding to the cast.

These will get plated on the bottom too.............
BIG91014-1.jpg

This will all get plated closed, and I'll take a holesaw and cut access to grease the joint afterwards. Link length is 38", WB is about 127".

Time to build some links.

Well, time to put the joints together and finish the links.

Cleaned up the shop from the motor swap and teardown of my TJ, built the y-link and put the suspension at full stuff. I plate and finish/blend square corners on everything last, so don't freak out about strength or finish. :flipoff2:

Now I'm going for a sled ride, and may start on the panhard this evening.

I wish somebody would buy me a CNC plasma. Hopefully get these tonight, so we can rock n roll tomorrow.

Should be a productive day tomorrow.
BIG91027.jpg

Airshock mounting starts here in a few minutes. The pinion angle/castor isn't dialed in so that is why the angle looks a little funky twisted up.

Well, had to call an audible on the airshock mounting. Bottom are tacked in, and top mounts and engine cage are planned, hopefully make good progress on those tomorrow but we'll see.
BIG91035.jpg

Finish up the support tubing and the engine brace tomorrow night, then start tearing it down and finishing everything.

Still some gusseting to do on these in a few places. Do that and tear it down tomorrow night.

A little tig welding, and some blending to do tomorrow night while I'm waiting for Philip and Todd to get their asses here. :flipoff2:

Wow. Busy 10 months. Plans for the body now that you've got all this work into the suspension and drivetrain?

I have my doubler just about done. I keep recieving parts to do stuff , but have been short on time. Here is a few pictures.
Sorry for crappy pics... Cell phone .

Doubler is home made. More pics later.

I know you said more pics later, but this needs its own thread. I am very interested to see what you have done to accomplish this setup, and to actually see how it all goes together.

If this is marginally easier than adding a 205 behind my SYE 241 with a cutoff front output, I would rather go this way, and sell my 241 with the SYE and get a LH output 241 to start with.

Where would you like it posted? Like what section Garage or what? I still have some stuff to finish for it but It isn't to hard to do.

i like the idea of a solid axle S10, but where are the pay off shots? have you started on the back half or the exo yet?

Well Pay Off Shots can't be done till it is. I am trying to make some decisions on things on it now , and Just have been working to much to do anything. It sure sucks to have the money , and no time. The Back Half Wont be till the winter. I would like to wheel it before then so I am gonna wait. I have thought about just doing it now since I see no Options for a wrap bar so I might as well just finish linking the back. But it involves more parts , and A New Fuel System. Hopefully in the Next 3 Weeks I can get it Somewhat Drivable. Then I will start on the Cage , and decide about linking the back too.
