I've had an intermittent check engine light come on at highway speeds throwing the EGR code, I followed the instructions for diagnostics on this web site and it flunked the vacuum test. http://www.chevytalk.org/fusionbb/showtopic.php?tid/258416
I bought a new AC Delco and in the process of removing the old I knocked the vacuum control selonoid and knocked the nipple off.
Installed a new one and we were rolling, I'm happy to report the truck runs much better at part throttle or if you get on it, it really made an improvement.
My wife was super excited for this, she had it made for me for Christmas and said it came in today and could not wait to give it to me so I got it early. I'm not sure where it's gonna end up, maybe on the inner bedside or above the rear view mirror on the headliner.

That is a broken crank right there! This really changes directions here, if you scroll back I said this was supposed to be a slow build but damn it if the only things breaking are the expensive ones! I really did not know that this could happen by driving it with the misfire, but live and learn the same as with the tranny. My wife will be so impressed.
