90 k5 Blazer "Jenny Lee" build (NEW GEARS!!)

I have a question for you guys. I just got done replacing my steering box with another new one. Why is it slightly harder to steer to the right then the left? With the front tires lifted off the ground steering is the same for both sides. Also when lifted and engine on everything feels the same both ways.

It has been snowing and raining here this weekend so I tackled a small project for the blazer. I got an old metal tool box from a garage sale for 5 bucks and thought it would make a good tool box to keep in the trucks. Made some dividers and stocked it up with tools.

Mock up of my center console I've been working on. Didn't want to spend the money on a Tuffy so I came up with this. The rear two boxes are for secure storage and the front box is going to house a breaker block and switches. Also along the sides are going to be two low profile rifle mounts. Mounting plate is slightly warped, that is my bad, I just started to learn how to weld and it got a little to hot.

Nice looking truck!

The lock bracket looks pretty strong, may want to put a quick tack on those bolt heads once you're sure they're going to stay. Interested to see how this turns out.

Thank you, It is coming together one part at a time. I will tack the bolt heads and I'm thinking about using 1/8in plate for more support for the bolts.

They are 1/2in plywood

:lol I was just messing around. I really like how you made them and have it organized. My truck toolbox is a nightmare by comparison, everything just tossed in a box with a single tray and most of it greasy because I haven't wiped it down in a couple years.

LOL, my wife says I have no sense of humor. I like to keep my stuff organized but it never lasts. It does look good in photo ops though.

Not much to update. I have been busy getting the yard and house in order. My friend that is going to help me with the gear swap is finishing up some projects to free his lift up. That has put the gear swap off for the last couple of months. I am still working on the center console but I just bought 5 new tires and wheels for the blazer and they should be here next Friday. That means I need to finish cleaning and painting the parts for my front 8 lug conversion. It will be nice to get that done. I wish I could keep on track but I always find something else to do. I almost forgot, The tires I bought are the general grabber X3's in 35x12.50x17 and a set of crager steel wheels. The tires and wheels I'm taking off the blazer will go on my 3/4 ton pickup bed trailer (it needs some love).

So how are you liking the ride with the new springs?
The rear springs where a nice upgrade. I hope I still have the same load rating with them as I did the old ones. I didn't feel like doing a shackle flip so I went the lift spring route. For my intended purpose I think they will work out just fine. As far as the ride I can't tell much of a difference, it still feels like your in a tank, LOL. I think If I got better shocks It would help out a lot but I bought four new Pro Comp shocks before I knew anything about Bilstein shocks. Live and learn I guess.

How did I miss this? Nice rig and mods.

Awesome build, def hitting the pull a part for some cavalier seats when I get back home! Those seats are really popular in the s10 community, never thought they would fit a blazer.

I really like them, and if you get the ones out of a two door the seat backs fold forward to make it easier getting to the back of the blazer
