91 K5 -Procrastination Build - bikini top!

No herbs here, just Dr Pepper.
I doubted this when we first met almost 35yrs. ago - he was wearing nothing but black T-shirts and listening to Green Jello music.

If it wasn’t for our shared interests in Chevy trucks we would’ve never become friends - after all this time I still can’t get him to turn that radio dial to good ole country music…something’s just not right with him!

Hey man, black shirts hide stains better than other colors. :D

You really should give Green Jello a try, they’ve got some fun stuff. I like the 3 little pigs myself. Besides, imo, there hasn’t been any country music worth listening to since the days of Waylon.

I listened to that G/J poison to my ears crap while riding with you in that brown S-10 Blazer and I was contemplating getting out and walking.

And as for your comment on older country tunes - Waylon, Willie and Don Williams it is!

Please excuse my ignorance...but why'd you have to cut your doors?

HOLY CRAP!

The Blazer is a '91 which originally had a half cab before I mangled it so the doors had upper window frames, I had to chop them off to complete the cool kid package. (my wife says I had Jeep half door envy - she has an 06 Jeep)

I scored a gently used :rotfl: RuffStuff diff cover on FB marketplace for $60!

Plans are to add a large tab to the top so I can bolt it to the truss on my rear axle.

@86chevred1tun anything going on with your truck?
Its got a good battery and fresh fuel! I blew all the leaves off of it for the second time since fall. Still needs a transmission and converter, but moves around the yard just fine. I crank it and move it around the every time I go home. but that's about it. Has a new rust hole in the driver side door sill, and a little in the back quarter panel behind the wheel well and one spot under the marker light on the driver side, treated with ospho. but thats about the extent of it. I'm currently truck poor! :haha:, I took over payments on my sons 07 5.9 cummins back when he got stationed in England (airforce), Nice Arizona truck without a cracked dash, needs tag and a/c work. My 06 vortex max needs a transfer case and shift motor, My 07 Duramax WANTS a Built trans, needs radio, new mirrors and new control arms. and everyone of them needs a new windshield. I'm 42 now, and I think you were about my age when I joined the forum/we met, I remember thinking there was no way I wouldn't have it how I wanted it by now. At the rate I'm going, I can now see myself at your current age still going on it. LOL :rotfl:

Been working in Destin this last year. Starting a new project in Pensacola in June. Maybe things will work out better for me getting things off my list. I enjoy all of my trucks, so Its hard to let anything go. Desperately need to build a shop!

:rotfl: Man, it happens so much faster than you think it will! :yikes: Glad you've still got the truck and are messing with it occasionally.

I bet you know a guy that could build a shop.

Are you say’n that an H.D. Dana 70 with 4” tubes needs a truss on a K5 that will never get airborne ?!?!

I’ve been chasing a rough running problem for a couple of weeks that seemed to be getting a little worse. I changed the plugs in it, crossed my fingers and figured I’d test drive it to a square body meet today. After about 5 miles it was still running poorly and it developed a loud ticking so I stopped to look around and found this…

(video - watch for big and tiny sparks)

This is an MSD firewall feed thru for my coil wire(s), I can see anything but I’m guessing there’s a crack in it. I removed the feed thru (ordered another) and temporarily ran a loooong single coil wire, now it runs good again.
