Thanks for the offer but I have a frame I bought from Boz42. I even picked up the door caps at a local u pull it a couple of months ago. It really just boils down to being chicken to make the first cut. :doah: :D

I figured it had to be head room, I just didn't take that good of a look at it the last time I saw your rig.

Yeah, I even considered lowering or moving the seats inboard a few inches but I think that would make driving awkward. I hate to waste the existing cage but it is what it is. I'm hoping to use some pieces to brace up Kert's cage.

hey if you need help with that first cut, I got you :waytogo: just look away and I'll lop it off!

burning in the new cage would be so much easier with no top tho, plus you can justify that to the wife. I do believe she said to stop doing more and just finish it :doah::haha:.

Trust me, I have stared at that article for hours. The only thing I'm really unsure about is where to cut the doors. I'd like to be sure that once done if I ever buy a soft top it'll fit and seal reasonably well.

Going to lunch with my body work buddy tomorrow to see if he's still open to help with the top chop.

post up a pic request thread for the full vert guys and ask for some detailed pics.

I might go full vert after we get Christie a new car, my top/ b/a pillars are pretty shot.

At least your soft top is fairly new and nice, you can still get decent money for it. Mine is only in fair condition so it won't bring a lot.

I won't be getting rid of mine, in a couple years I'm hoping to build a new blazer out of a rust free body. I'm hoping to find a clean 91 to swap my parts onto.

Hey Cody, if you're thinking about cutting your top you might want that windshield frame Heavyleft has.

Heavyleft, what do you want for the windshield frame and top? Or what about just the frame? I'm sure shipping would kill any deal and I don't feel like driving that far. Just curious on the price.

I can send a PM if that's prefered.

Fwiw, shipping on my windshield frame wasn't too bad considering it's size and shape. Seems like about $35-$40, maybe? Boz wrapped the whole thing in cardboard and double layered the ends of the posts, shipped fine.

No sure, trying to coordinate some quality time with a buddy that does body work.

Sadly no, the cage B pillar floor plates didn't fit the contour of the floor so Kert is making me some new plates plus sending some pieces for the rear half of the cage over the back seat.

I was going to work on the tcase crossmember this past weekend but the wife's Jeep started acting a fool so I had to work on it. I'll have it fixed tomorrow so (hopefully) back to the K5 next weekend.

What about you?

just driving it.. I have a list of stuff I want to do but it will be slow progress I think. how is your shop? one side of my garage flooded last night.
