I`m still trying to figure out why it needs to be clearanced, I`ve done three blazers and one k10 with 4 inch springs and never touched the front drive shaft.
Looks like your truck is higher than my 77 is now but neither one of them is 4 inch.
You didn`t install the front diff upside down did you!!![]()

My 83 was fine with the 4"/zero rates. 84 k5 was fine.
This 80 is not fine. Looking at it, it appears almost the driveshaft is different around where the cv is. But I'm going based off memory here.
I also run a single cardan joint on the k20. It started as a stock shaft off a 88-98 style 4x4. It took a bit of clearancing though.


This truck did sit high to begin with compared to most of the stock type rigs I've have fwiw. It's about 3" over stock right now. Drag link angle is actually pretty good as well.
Maybe I should install the diff upside down.....it'll fix the angle. Oh wait![]()
