This was my first time to Moab. It was through the offer of Eric (Blazinzuk) that I was able to partake in the BB10. I have been throughout the Rockies of CO, the Blackhills of SD, the Smokies, Adirondaks, and a few others in the Eastern US, but the RedRock of the LaSal mts. and surrounding areas were new to me. Being from MI, the majesty of mountains is an awesome sight to behold. The sun shining on them in the early morning and late afternoon is a beautiful treat to the eyes.

Here are my pics from the trip, in no particular order.

We went out with a group to BFE on Friday...played around most of the day there.
Alan (ALF4444) was cursed by a big rock on the t/c and transmission that cracked his T350 case....he was done for the weekend. I was fortunate enough to help him, his wife, and his buddy quench their thirst a couple nights tho.

This is Chris (38377k5) what an awesome rig....makes this stuff look almost easy.

Erics' "Horton", what a simple yet very functional vehicle. There just wasn't much to slow this machine down. I left the area with only one word for it....Impressive.

HPIM2302.jpg

Tom from ORD....very cool, and equally capable rig. He was having fun with it.

Zimm, good to meet you, and glad to hear you had fun. As for the red rocks, I'd say you've just seen a small sliver of them...

Our 3 vehicle group had our share of problems, but in the end we fixed em all, but it was too late to finish the trifecta, not knowing if more problems would catch up with us.
Here we are coming back out of Poison Spider...

I did eventually make it with the help of a couple spotters, and coaching to get it up over that huge rock. Way cool.

Same here Chad, glad you saw us Sunday AM....it was a fun day. I wish I would have had more time in SLC before my flight out...it would have been cool to hit the snakes.

I really like the videos you guys got.

I particularly like this one, cuz I kicked the rocker knockers ass!
Oh, and thanks for the spotting on the line I took, it made it seem almost easy.

And a great one of Chaddy in action on the chewy...or the rock chucker.

Oh, and one more thing....I highly condemn the Mexican restaurant across the street from the Ramada on Main st. They are ripoffs....charging for food not ordered.....not a good group to deal with IMO.

Awesome man. I need to make it out for one some day.

Was this the heavy hitter run or pretty much only you guys showed up?

Yeah, think I'll be riding. My junk will probably never progress beyond 33's.

Yeah, but where these guys park would probably require bigger than that.

Uhm...been there done that...broke stuff...went broke.

I'm pretty sure there were rigs on 33's out there, sure alot of 35's and 37's too.
But I hear a lot of the trails have bypass' too.

Well, we'll see what happens. I'd just like to have it running reliably and finally painted by this time next year.

I think I said that a year ago.

You can do a LOT in moab on 33's. Us east coasters were absolutly BLOWN AWAY by Moab traction. There is NOTHING like that traction wise on the entire east coast.

Isn't there a harder line to the right of rocker knocker? Two humps that play hell on wide variety of wheelbases if I remember correctly? Or am I huffin paint today? I'd try it in Chris' rig :D

Well I really enjoyed Daves company. It was a blast, made me appreciate some of the things I really don't sometimes.

And yes the mexican restaurant Dave speaks of should be banned by all blazer bash attendees
