Is this weekend the weekend you were referring to three months ago?
Thanks for the reminder, I think. I haven't made a ton of progress. I've been putting 200 miles a week on it. I've had a bunch of trips this summer and fall that have delayed progress.
Though, I've had to do a few maintenance items.
The rear cargo door latch stopped working, so I replaced both latches on one door.
In addition to that, the hood stopped opening correctly. I bent the mechanism back based on info from ck5. I also noticed that the cable was stretched, so I've got that on order from LmC.
I replaced a power steering pump and box in the last year, but the pump took a shit this last week. In the meantime, the box has gotten sloppy. Both parts were from local parts houses, so they'll get swapped. It probably makes sense to go ahead and swap it for a 2wd unit and do the crossover install.
I've got the arm, knuckle, drop pitman arm, and a slightly bent tie rod. I'm not certain the tie rod wasn't massaged for clearance in the previous application. At the same time as the crossover, I'll install warn premium hubs and Yukon super joints.
I need to get the rebuild kit for the super joints, and the front end parts on the way. The real hold up is getting the drag link built. I need to figure out that part and get this done and move on.
I've made the decision to use the Tuff Country HD springs(still need to order). Since I'm mall crawling and forest service road cruising for the most part, I'll probably go with small lift springs in addition to the shackle flip and b-52 kit. I'd like to run 37/40s instead of the 35s on it. I've already got those parts as well as FUSH. I haven't decided on spring length yet. I'm going with the 7000 series Bilsteins for shocks. I need to order the shackle bolts, some ubolts, and a bunch of other crap. I think I've found a flat spot to work on the truck fairly close to home. I plan to take advantage of some pto around xmas.
Some progress has been made on the interior, but that progress led to bigger plans. I've got some weatherstripping on the way, and I'm going to work my way around the truck replacing all the rubber and felts. I'll add to the sound dampening st the same time. The doors haven't been touched yet.
