ARAMP1's Ultimate TowRig Build Thread

Holy chit! That thing is a monster. I'd didn't appreciate the size of that engine until those pics.

Good call on keeping it visible through the hood. :waytogo:

good if not that would have looked silly :D

Whats your state rules for hoodscopes as in how high can you have something sticking out of your hood ?

Wow !!! I am embarassed to say that I had never seen your build untill now, very cool !!! I had no idea those engines are that big, I can't wait to see it mounted and blowing smoke :D.
Top notch work :bow: it looks great and thanks for your service to our country :waytogo:

I'll take the old motor/tranny/case off your hands to free up space in the garage for you.

just trim the hood to clear the engine.would look sweet with it sticking up threw the hood.
Yeah, that's what I'm planning. That nice polished aluminum valve cover gleaming through the hood. Should look pretty good.

Okay, I finished welding up the front crossmember/motor mount. Still have some bracing to do, but it's strong enough to hold the motor, so I decided to install it again. I'm happy with how far back and down the motor sits in the frame. I'm planning on at least 4 more inches of lift anyway, so spacing should be good over the crossover steering/front axle.

Looks pretty good, don't it? So good infact that I decided to install the polished valve cover to see what'd be sticking through the hood.
