The windshield frame was recently added and its curved and sat over the hood. Making it a huge PITA to get the hood on and off without taking the winshiled frame off every time. So I trimmed the arc off the hood and made some 6.5" long brackets with a dzus tab on the end (yes I coulda cut it out of the bracket but I didn't have dimples for the rivet head recess).
Im happy with it, now on to the back.

It seems you and that new Miller welder are getting along pretty well! Nice!

Ive honestly probably only got 2 hours of hood time so far lol. I really do like it though, its almost cheating so far.

Ive got some aluminum cracks to repair on it, so that will be the real test.

I posted this in the PAD thread but figured id put it here for safe keeping.

Took a weekend off work for a second...

My dad took me to my first concert at age 12 in 2004, and it was KISS / Aerosmith the night before my first day at a new school for 7th grade lol. I got a Large shirt so I could wear it when I was older, and wore a KISS shirt that was down to my knees for my first day of school haha.

15 years later and Pops got my brothers and I tickets for Xmas to the end of the road tour.

Ben (gene) flew in from Montana just for the concert and flew back home yesterday. ($400 and some plane ticket lol). And my step brothers wife came to the hotel room and did a freaking epic job on the makeup. Dad gave my brothers his old shirts, I finally washed mine (never washed it, had like an inch of dust lol) and we hit it!

Absolutely epic show, epic performance and a perfect unforgettable night dad says was 28 years in the making. (ill be 28 next month ). And I balled my damn eyes out when Rock and Roll all night was the last song.

I has another job now.

Basically it is a site where the designers upload the dxf cut files for things like trusses and tabs, and other parts that have been time painstakingly "reinvented" in garages with pieces of carboard 100000 times over the years. Now you just go on the site, find the parts you like, and have your preferred fabricator buy the files for a few bucks, and cut and fab them up for you. Saving customers from paying for r&d time on what would have been full custom work for the fabricator, and now its just buy, cut, bend, ship. So it allows fabricators to take on more work even when they are busy due to the time savings.

Very cool! Loading up the shopping cart right now. I'll cut some pieces and throw down some reviews if that helps. @Deuling is there a way to find just your products or a link to the ones you've designed?

The only thing I have done is I took their 12 year old Fire Extinguisher mount design that was meant for laser, and I reworked all the parts to better work on plasma tables. So if you search under those that would be the only thing currently with my name on it.

Right now I don't have time to do the BOM and Drafting side of things, aka the instructions etc, (when you buy the files you receive a zip folder full of pdf instructions to make the parts, along with prints, dxf files, and bill of material with qtys). So im working on getting some drafting friends in on it so I can send them parts to do that portion and upload.

Can I drop some pointers on your designer "summary"?

I would say you do a lot more professional work than that picture and description suggests, that short summary makes you sound like an ameteur and the picture backs it up. If I didn't know what you are capable of I wouldn't be impressed. But I am impressed because I know what you are capable of.

I guess my point is you should have a picture of yourself putting one of the finishing touches on one of your masterpieces (or something more professional like that) and say what experience you have, not how old you were when you started. Does that make sense? I think it's awesome you are doing that I just think you have a lot more talent than your summary gives you credit for.

He just stole that from my website About me page. Which I also did not write because I don't have time.

If you guys have spare time to worry about that you can fix it for me :D , because I have so much work I have to turn my phone off at night to sleep. So I guess I don't really care right now haha. I just needed something to fill the space, can always update later.

Well you have your priorities correct, but then maybe you need to raise your prices and/or reduce your hours before you get burned out on it. :waytogo:
