Bertha,picking up where Shewheeler left off.

My pants got tight :blush::blush:

The monkey wants to know what happen to your pants....

I just dented the bottom of my desk...

....and how you messed up your desk.

Make sure y'all explain it so a seven year old girl can understand :flipoff7:

Been out of town a bit and working a lot. So progress has been slow.

Not a whole lot of examples of go fast leaf sprung GMs to get inspiration and ideas from. I have learned more and gotten more ideas from Ford trucks than anywhere else.

Lots of good go fast rear suspension discussion here. :D

Got the rear tube section finish welded, painted, and back in. Chopped off the back of the frame that extended past where the bumper bolts on and boxed it. Got the cell strapped in and hooked back up.

Took the spring packs apart, made spacers to take up the space of the removed leaves, bolted them in, and have started looking at the travel.

Shooting for 12" total. The shackles hit the rear hangers and stop it at 10.5". Going to do something with the shackles to get the last 1.5".

Do things get easier if you were to go spring under and a compression shackle in the rear? Would help with unsprung weight no?

Really digging the work and your latest progress pic. Looks burly, functional and pro quality! I'm gonna guess the cupcake tray is a cooler rack?
