Better contact at Ballistic, this is ridiculous.

call the bank that issued your debit card and tell them that you paid for something and it was never delivered. you'll have your money back in a couple of weeks.

If I can't resolve it through the other thread I will probably try that, British slave and djtejas mentioned that too.

Crap. I did just that last week. I was hoping to get it in another week. Everything else is built and painted. I'm just waiting for the joint. I ordered one months ago and it didn't take long at all. Fast forward to a week ago and I destroyed the threads. :doah: What's so good about the "no snap ring" design?:rolleyes:

I actually like the threaded adjuster nut on the ballisitic joints, but if people are not having any issues with the johnny joints, then apparently it isn't needed. Plus, look here, they are way cheaper... (scroll down some)

I'm not on Pirate, and I had no idea about how BF operates...

Tell them they are about to make the "off limits" list (like the military) on CK5, maybe they'll think again.....?:dunno:
 
I'm glad that I got my steering arms used instead of purchasing directly from Ballistic, as I was about to do. I too will refuse to do business with them and suggest the same to my friends.

The "bad vendors" list is a good idea, as this is the first I've heard of their unethical practices.
 
Most of the stuff they make you can get elsewhere. Anything I don't make myself, I usually buy from ORD or DIY4X. I like their "ballistic joints" because you can adjust the slop out with the threaded collar, but in the future I will probably just stick with Curries, Johnny Joints. They have a good reputation, and better service I would expect.

I made a post on pirate, I can't PM there. But I will see what they say. If they delete it then I will post it in the other thread about it there.
 
Box from BF showed up today. So I'm 2/2 successful with them.

They use to be on top of my A list, now they are out of it ive bought stuff many times and never had any problems...things could be better like notices on shipping, trakinc numbers, etc etc... but they guys just gives out dumb excuses... im sticking with diy period...

and put in a box with the return label. Send it and give them the tracking #. theyll send out your correct parts....keep the wrong ones also. When they call all like "WTF" tell them " sorry. It was packaged wrong, but since you have it you can F*CK YO SELF..... That what id do.

Well, guess what, I posted there, the next day, without any comments on my post whatsoever, they LOCKED the thread! Great customer service, they are ignoring that thread now. I am going to try e-mail, and I will probably also post in one of the other threads.
 
I'll chime in here, since I "HAD" dealings with them.

First, no more screwing around with anything commo wise that they have control over. Fukk them! Call your credit card company and get it reversed. Get all your money back.

Second, get that self absorbed, arrogant, self serving, piece of sh!t called "Ballistic Dave" on the phone. He is the Sales Manager there. Demand, your order be canceled NOW. It was their screw up, their fault, your the customer, you decide.

Third. Now here is the important one.
Do not buy from them at all, no matter what, get it somewhere else.

Ballistic fabrication is the epitome of poor customer service!
I for one would like to see a bad vendor list stickied in the Garage. So other members can avoid the pain that BF is.
Their parts are great, hands down some of the best. But, I say not worth the hassle of dealing with what they at BF call customer service.
It's not just me, either.
Anyone going to school for the BS degree in any kind of Management? Remember the HR classes, the customer service classes? BF does the textbook opposite in running day to day business. They may say otherwise, but the reality is in direct contradiction to any sales, customer service, human resource textbook ideology.

Won't happen, BF is dumping $$ into PBB as fast as they can. The owners and management at BF have got to know that time is short. The only thing keeping them in there at Pirate is the money. It is the only logical answer. Sooner or later it will come back and bite them.

And who to get tabs and brackets from??? DIY has some but i have had my so so experience with the guy, hes cool and all but it seems like he has too much work , BF has lots of shiet...
 
Well, I gave them more chances than I should of needed to, since my previous post, I sent another e-mail to them, and I called them. The e-mail went unanswered after several days, and the phone call, after I got off of hold, I was told that was the 25% fee, and they couldn't do anything about it. I said that was unnacceptable because they never shipped anything in the first place. They said if I wanted to talk to someone else about it I had to call back in a week because they weren't available.

I'm done, I've done more than I should of with them. So I filed a dispute with my "financial institution" according to VISA because basically this is fraud in my opinion. Hopefully that works, I'll let you know.
