Blazer Bash 2012 OFFICIAL trail runs - trail leader volunteers needed

Gemini bridges. You see it from the top. Walk across it. Then when leaving you can drive in part way to the bottom. The last 1/4 mile has to be walked. It's just one arch, but impressive.

After showing that pic to the family, my daughter told me she is riding in front with mommy. The boys will be riding in the back seat. :doah:

That's looking east towards Arches NP; as you look across, you can see several arches.
What you can't see on the pic is that 800 foot (or so...) drop down to Hwy 191 right in front of you...

After I looked at Google Earth with a lay over of the trail, that's what I was guessing. Seems to get some great views from along that cliff.

From what I understand, BFE is a different rock formation. BFE is better for 'wheeling, less for red rock spectating...

Here's the Arch on Dome Plateau; it's called La Boca Arch:

It's next to the trail; here's Claudia walking up to it, and you can walk thru, around, and on top...

Here's a pic from one of the overviews; hard to capture, even with a wide-angle lens - it just doesn't fit into a camera. You're right up at the edge, and there's this huge expansive view right in front of you...

I can take the pics down if you want; just say the word.
But not going to see in person would be a mistake.

Just sayin'...

Great pics, as always. That last one is really awesome.

Thanks! But as in many other cases out there, that pic doesn't come close to communicating how it feels in person to stand at the edge of that cliff...

Keep the little ones close; it's a long way down...

Don't you guys also have WipeOut on the trail menu? If so, and if you're coming in via SevenMileRim, watch out for the little detour to Uranium Arch...

Posting those pics from the past, I must say I'd really like to go, but unfortunately it's not going to work that way...

I think Metal Masher has some of the best views out there. You can get as close to the edge as you want!

The cliff towards the center of the picture in the background is where the other two pictures are taken from.

Scott do you have all the leaders and things that you need and or is there anything for Billings and or Bangs that you need?
Keith (kgblazer5) is helping me line up the trail leaders. I kinda figured Stephen would be the defacto trail leader on Billings. I was going to handle the Bangs Canyon crew, even though I've only been past the little playground area once. :doah:

I know we still need leaders for the Trifecta.

At the end of Bangs your going to have to turn around so remember that. Most of the Time a lot of folks just play around at the Playground and dont go to far up the trail. How ever if you want you can do what I call the Billings loop its not challenging at all, but its longer and can be fun. Take the trail like you are going to go to Billings, get to Billings entrance then just keep going around it, Eventually you will end up at the trail head to Bangs canyon. some of the guys whom I believe will be with you know this route... Sean, Ervin, Me but I wont be there. But if your coming early id b glad to show it to you the night before. Or anyone for that matter
