Blazer Chalet / GMC Jimmy Casa Grande spotted

Last edited:
Farther down in the description it says the top opened while driving, blew off, skidded a 100 yards, mangling all the tracks etc. I am selling my shell, currently all disassembled, and plan to join the Yahoo group and offer it up for parts as well if you think there is a need. I would consider selling everything off it in pieces, or everything as a whole. I haven't joined the group yet, feel free to post up my info. - Jim in Phoenix - former Chalet Rescuerer.

Yep it is him and he told me he had been in contact with you. He is also coming to SLC, but I can't afford to have him transport it out for me.

Another one in Tacoma, WA

Another one in Tacoma, WA. I wish I had an extra $2000.

**edit Yay! This seller has listed his Chalet elsewhere in the past, today he called to say his serial # is 0056, but the build date was too mangled to see what month of '76 it was built.**

...tried to see if I could get it to pop up in my usual google search and it doesn't show...
And today I was told by my other Chalet pals the link is blank. Weird internet - on that same blank looking wheelsforyoukansas.com page, use the search to look for Cheverolet Blazer and put 1977 in both year windows, and the ad comes up, along with an ad for a lowered blue/purple scalloped one. Click on the Chalet and it takes you to the ad with the same string of characters in the URL line that didn't work before, go figure.....

Meanwhile, in trying to figure out why my google search didn't pick up the ad "sooner" found, I accidentally discovered this ad: http://www.oldcar.com/Vehicles/Details.cfm?VID=254992&Year=1977&Make=CHEVROLET&Model=BLAZER 4X4 The seller said he would have the serial number for me later today. Pic below, it sure looks to be orange, a color not shown in the '77 Chalet brochures. It has vinyl stripes around the tan accent area that line right up with the stripes on the camper part, so the orange ought to be factory original.

looks like the one from colorado a few years back....
Ol' Doug still gots the memory functioning - allow me to direct you over here where I had dredged up its serial number. Yes indeed, it's Hartsock's old Chalet, found his 2005 ck5 ad for it here. The seller didn't know it, the original 400 was swapped for a 350, and Hartsock told me in an email yesterday that it has 125,000 miles, not 25,000.

***8/15/09 EDIT: allegedly sold on the forth listing for $9,900, link here. Apparently not, though, 'cause here it is again for its 5th eBay listing.***
